Florida State will be looking to bounce back from the worst home loss in program history when they hit the road to take on the defending national champion Clemson Tigers in their highly intriguing Week 7 ACC clash.
The LSU Tigers will be looking to take care of business at home when they host the Florida Gators in a pivotal SEC clash of conference title hopefuls. Last but not least, the Texas Longhorns will look to win their second straight Red River Showdown against Oklahoma when they host the reigning Big 12 conference champs in their Week 7 matchup that could have playoff implications.

Florida State at Clemson

Clemson became the first team to beat Florida State in four straight years and that was a small accomplishment for a Tigers program that went a perfect 15-0 last season while throttling Alabama 44-16 in the national championship. Despite losing a ton of talent on the defensive line, Clemson returns gifted sophomore quarterback Trevor Lawrence and a bunch of elite talent at the skill positions, starting with running back Travis Etienne and wide receiver Justyn Ross. I’m thinking the Tigers are a lock to get the SU win here – and the ATS cover if the spread isn’t too unrealistically large.
Florida at LSU

Former Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen had a successful first season in his return to Florida as the Gators went a surprisingly solid 10-3 in 2018 while ranking an encouraging 22nd in scoring (35.0 ppg) and even more impressive 20th in points allowed (20.0 ppg). After capping off last season with a statement-making 41-15 blowout win over Michigan, the Gators are looking to take the next step toward becoming a legitimate College Football Playoff contender.
LSU is coming off their own solid 10-3 campaign a year ago that saw the Tigers finish 38th in scoring (32.4 ppg) and an impressive 26th in points allowed (21.8 ppg). Starting quarterback Joe Burrow is back under center, but he needs to improve after completing just 57.8 percent of his passes. LSU will be looking for revenge after suffering a convincing 27-19 road loss to the Gators last season and the winner of this Week 7 contest will almost certainly go a long way toward keeping their conference championship hopes alive.
Oklahoma at Texas

Oklahoma went a fantastic 12-2 last season while putting up a great effort in their College Football Playoff game loss to Alabama. The Sooners avenged their only regular season loss against Texas by beating the Longhorns 39-27 in the conference championship game after falling to their longtime Red River rivals 48-45 in a Week 8 shootout in the Lone Star State.
While the Sooners will have a new starting quarterback in 2019, Texas is back in Year 3 of the Tom Herman era and looking to take the next step toward being a legitimate championship contender with, now junior Sam Ehlinger under center.
The Sooners have won three of the last four meetings in this one and seven of the last 10 overall, but I believe Texas is looking better than they have in years heading into 2019 and that this Week 7 clash could come down to which team has the ball last.
