Given how wild this season has been in college football, it was a bit of a surprise to see the top 4 teams all win and maintain their current places in a playoff spot. We say that for now, because that is based on the AP National Rankings and not the official ones, which will be released on Tuesday night by the Playoff Committee. They are not likely to have a very different set of rankings for their first shot, but it may just put some teams on notice heading into the final weeks of the season. Things are about to get very interesting from this point forward, starting with Week 10 of the season, which we are now looking forward to. Let’s get things rolling by making our ATS picks for this weekend so you can get ready to bet against the NCAAF odds.
Week 10 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NCAA Football Betting
Kansas State Wildcats (-24) at Kansas Jayhawks
Based on this season’s performances alone, this is a game that already looks to be a total mismatch. You have a Kansas State Wildcats team just 1 win away from securing a bowl game going against a Jayhawks team that has gone a disappointing 1-7 this season. Things gets even worse for the Jayhawks when you look at the last 10 meetings between these teams. Kansas State has won all 10 and had an average winning margin of roughly 27 points. In fact, the Wildcats have covered the spread against Kansas in 9 of their last 12 meetings. They are also 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games played in Week 10 of the season. Kansas is just 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home outings.
Ohio State Buckeyes (-15) at Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Buckeyes saw their season get off to a bit of a rocky start, but they have steadied the ship in a big way and have now reeled off 6-straight wins to get themselves back in the playoff conversation. They still have a couple of big games ahead of them, but this weekend’s tilt against the Nebraska Cornhuskers is one that you would like them to win without too much trouble. The Ohio State Buckeyes have won 6 in a row against Nebraska and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings with the Cornhuskers. On a positive note, for those of you looking at Nebraska, they have covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 as an underdog. I still think the Buckeyes win and cover quite handily.
Penn State Nittany Lions (-10) at Maryland Terrapins
After starting the season with 5 straight wins, the Penn State Nittany Lions have hit a massive roadblock that has now seen them lose 3 in a row. That alone makes this a bit of a risky bet, as the Nittany Lions really have nothing major to play for at this stage of the season. That said, they gave the Ohio State Buckeyes all they could handle last weekend, so perhaps there is some fight left in this team. Maryland saw a 3-game losing skid come to an end last weekend against Indiana, but they are still just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. They are also 0-7 ATS in their last 7 against Big Ten opposition. I am on Penn State to win and cover this weekend.
