MyBookie created a couple of prop bets regarding his retirement. For instance, the over/under on Saban’s retirement is 5.5, with money moving the juice on the under to -130.
One can also bet on which year Saban will retire. After 2025 is the favorite at +175, while after 2019 is the largest underdog at +700. Bettors who think he’ll retire after 2022, 2023 or 2024 will get a +300 return if they cash.
The media seized on the story after an article on AL.com, asking Saban about the MyBookie odds after a recent children’s charity golf tournament in Vestavia Hills, Ala.
“That’s the first I’ve heard of that one, but it’s amusing,” a chuckling Saban said of the odds, according to AL.com.
“That’s not something I want to do anytime soon, I can tell you that. No time soon.
“I don’t know what [MyBookie] knows that I don’t know.”
