Written by on October 10, 2015

The 10th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide and their College Football betting Lines fans got a huge, confidence-boosting win the last time out and will look to avoid the big upset against unranked Arkansas when the two teams square off in their Week 6 SEC showdown on Saturday. Now, let’s find out if the Tide can roll in this one and bring home the bacon at the very least.

How To Bet the Razorbacks @ Crimson Tide NCAA Football Odds, TV & Game Info

When: Saturday, October 10, 7:00 PM ET Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, Alabama NCAAF Odds: Alabama -17 Total: 50 TV: ESPN

Why Bet on the Alabama Crimson Tide

The Crimson Tide rolled (pun intended) all over the Georgia Bulldogs in their 38-10 Week 5 SEC showdown to easily cash in as a 1.5-point road dog and snap their three-game ATS skid.  Alabama signal-caller Jake Coker had a solid outing against the Dogs by completing 11 of 16 passes for 190 yards and one touchdown while running back Derrick Henry rushed for 148 yards and one score on 26 carries. While the Tide put up 38 points and looked as good on offense as they have at any point this season, it was Alabama’s defense that was at the heart of this win. The Crimson Tide harassed Georgia quarterback Greyson Lambert  all game, limiting the Bulldogs’ signal-caller to a 10-for-24, 86-yard passing day while picking off the junior three times, including once for a pick-six. Alabama also forced and recovered two fumbles and basically put the game away by scoring 21 second quarter points.

Why Bet on the Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas comes into this contest off a surprising 24-20 road win over Tennessee while cashing in as a 5.5-point underdog to snap their three-game SU ad ATS losing streaks. Arkansas is ranked 24th in total offense, but just 87th in scoring (25.8 ppg). While the Razorbacks are struggling to stop their opponents’ passing attacks, the longtime SEC residents have been very good in ranking 54th in points allowed (22.4 ppg). Game Analysis: With 56 percent of the betting public backing Alabama to cash in as big home faves in this contest, clearly a lot of college football bettors believe the spread is just a few points too high for the Tide to cover – and I’m inclined to agree. I know Arkansas has underachieved in a big way early on after being one of the sexy preseason picks to improve in 2015, but I’m going to get back on the Bret Bielema bandwagon for this SEC showdown and I’m urging you to do the same. You see, not only was I impressed with the way the Razorbacks hung in there last week to get the win on the road against a desperate Tennessee ballclub, but I’m actually more encouraged by Arkansas’ performance in their 28-21 home loss against undefeated Texas A&M one week earlier. I like Arkansas to use their 31st-ranked rushing attack to kill some clock in this game and help keep the final score a lot closer than anyone thinks. The Razorbacks are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record and a near-perfect 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. I know Alabama destroyed a clearly overrated Georgia team last weekend, but let’s not forget the Tide are just 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 games overall and a discouraging 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. While the home team in this SEC rivalry is 5-1 ATS in their last six meetings, I’m going the other way with my pick here and backing Arkansas to cover in a closer-than-expected affair. My Pick: Alabama 24 Arkansas 17
