What a wild and crazy season it has been in the college football world. We’ve seen a lot of movement this season within the Top 10 of the AP Top 25 poll. We saw some movement in this week’s Top 25. Let’s take a look at this week’s Top 10 teams, and we’ll give a brief analysis of each squad so you can continue betting against the NCAA Football odds.
This Week’s College Football Top 10 Betting Rankings & Opportunities
#1 Georgia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs finished undefeated in the SEC for the first time in school history. They now have Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech. Georgia is looking forward to their potential SEC Championship game matchup with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
#2 Alabama Crimson Tide
The Tide will host Arkansas on Saturday. Alabama’s offensive line will need to get better if they want to make the playoffs. On the defensive side of the ball, the Tide’s pass rush has looked much better as of late. They can’t afford a slip-up if they want their shot at Georgia.
#3 Cincinnati Bearcats
The AP voters have lost some faith in the Bearcats after a few close victories. They’ll have a tough matchup with SMU on Saturday at home. Cincinnati knows that they need to play well to stay in the good graces of the College Football Playoff Committee.
#4 Oregon Ducks
A Saturday night matchup at Utah awaits the Oregon Ducks. They know that this is the biggest game of the year for them, and they can’t afford a loss if they want a shot at a National Championship.
#5 Ohio State Buckeyes
The Buckeyes host the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday. Ohio State knows that if they win out, they have a great shot at a playoff spot. The Buckeyes have one of the top offenses in the nation, and they’ll need to put up some points on Saturday. Their defense will have a huge challenge in stopping Kenneth Walker III.
#6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Don’t look now, but the Irish could sneak their way into a playoff spot. Notre Dame could go undefeated the rest of the way, and if other teams ahead of them lose, they could find themselves in the playoffs.
#7 Michigan State Spartans
After losing to Purdue, Michigan State knows that they have to beat Ohio State to have any shot at getting one of the four playoff spots. We’ll see if their defense can slow down the powerful OSU offense.
#8 Michigan Wolverines
We can’t believe that we’re going to say this, but the Wolverines will be Ohio State fans on Saturday. They need Ohio State to beat Michigan State in order for them to have any shot at winning the Big 10 East. But first things first, the Michigan Wolverines need to take care of business against Maryland on Saturday.
#9 Oklahoma State Cowboys
This isn’t a typical Mike Gundy team. This group is actually playing very good defense. This week they take on Texas Tech. With next weekend’s matchup with Oklahoma State looming, could the Cowboys be overlooking Texas Tech? We shall see.
#10 Ole Miss Rebels
After last weekend’s huge win over Texas A&M, Lane Kiffin has Ole Miss back in the top 10.
