Betting College Football Week 7 Games
The Week 6 slate of college football games left a lot to be desired, but things are going to be much better throughout this weekend.
Week 7 is absolutely loaded with some great games, and teams are trying to make a push to get into the College Football Playoff.
College football continues to be a sport where there are some great betting options to explore, and betting against the spread is always going to be a great option.
Here is a look at four games with ranked teams, and the ATS picks that you should make.
Writer’s Picks for the Seventh Week of the NCAAF Season
Utah Utes -6.5 vs. Arizona State Sun Devils
Friday, October 11th, 2024
The Utah Utes are visiting Arizona State on Friday night, and this is a matchup between two 6-1 teams.
Utah continues to be a team that is ranked inside of the Top 25, but they have been struggling to get their best players on the field.
Even though Utah has not been a great offensive team this NCAAF season, they remain a team that can completely shut down an opponent throughout the game.
This should be a battle, but Utah will find just enough offense to cover the spread in this one.
NCAA Week 7 Pick: Utah
Purdue Boilermakers +20 vs. Illinois Fighting Illini
Saturday, October 12th, 2024
The Big Ten Conference title race continues to be wide open, and the Illinois Fighting Illini are actually in the middle of it.
Illinois returns home after a bye in Week 6, and they are hosting their rivals from Purdue.
It’s been a pretty miserable season for Purdue up to this point as they are just 1-4 through their first five games.
That doesn’t mean that this team won’t compete, and you should expect that defense to play well.
Illinois won’t have any trouble winning this game, but taking the points is easily the right way to go.
NCAA Week 7 Pick: Illinois
Texas Longhorns vs. Oklahoma Sooners +14.5
Saturday, October 12th, 2024
The annual rivalry game between Texas and Oklahoma will take place in Week 7, except this time the teams are representing the SEC.
This is a top 20 matchup, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the spread that has been set.
Texas looks like they might be the best team in the country this season, but having them as a 14.5-point betting favorite just doesn’t feel right.
Oklahoma has some superstar talent as well, and they will play well enough to keep this within 14 points.
NCAA Week 7 Pick: Oklahoma
Ohio State Buckeyes -3.0 vs. Oregon Ducks
Saturday, October 12th, 2024
The biggest game of the weekend will take place in the Big Ten Conference as the Ohio State Buckeyes will visit the Oregon Ducks.
The winner of this game will likely be the number one team in the country, and the spread is extremely tight in this game.
Winning in Oregon is never easy, but this Ohio State team has proven that they can win games anywhere.
With such a small spread for this game, you will want to jump on Ohio State to win and cover the spread on Saturday.
NCAA Week 7 Pick: Ohio State

Fresno State Bulldogs at Utah State Aggies
ATS Odds: Fresno State -6.5
Friday, October 13th, 2023 at 10:00 pm | ESPN
Maverik Stadium, Logan, UT
Fresno State had been having a dream season starting out 5-0 until last weekend’s contest versus Wyoming. The Cowboys beat Fresno State 24-19.
On Friday night, the Bulldogs should get back onto the winning SU and ATS tracks. Utah State has played well in their last couple of games, both victories. However, beating Fresno State is going to be more difficult then taking down UConn and Colorado State. Fresno wins and covers.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Fresno State -6.5 | Bet Fresno State at Utah State

Stanford Cardinal at Colorado Buffalos
ATS Odds: Colorado -11
Friday, October 13th, 2023 at 10:00 pm | ESPN
Folsom Field, Boulder, CO
Things aren’t going well for the Stanford Cardinal. The Cardinal defense isn’t good and the offense has struggled to move the ball.
Colorado ended a 2-game losing streak with a 27-24 victory over Arizona State in their last. Because this happens in Colorado, the Buffs win and cover.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Colorado -11 | Bet Stanford at Colorado

1 Georgia Bulldogs at Vanderbilt Commodores
ATS Odds: Georgia -31.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 12:00 pm | CBS
FirstBank Stadium, Nashville, TN
Georgia finally broke through with an impressive win. The Bulldogs had been playing well enough for victories, but against Kentucky, the real Dawgs showed up.
UGA dominated the Wildcats 51-13. Georgia’s victory should propel them to impressive wins until they must face Alabama or LSU in the SEC title game. Vanderbilt is 0-7 ATS this season. So the Dawgs cover.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Georgia -31.5 | Bet Georgia at Vanderbilt

Indiana Hoosiers at 2 Michigan Wolverines
ATS Odds: Michigan -33.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 12:00 pm | FOX
Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, MI
In their last 3 games, Michigan has beaten Rutgers 31-7, Nebraska 45-7, and Minnesota 52-10. The pattern shows the offense scoring more points with each passing victory, which means the Wolverines cover the massive spread.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Michigan -33.5 | Bet Indiana at Michigan

3 Ohio State Buckeyes at Purdue Boilermakers
ATS Odds: Ohio State -19.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 12:00 pm | Peacock
Ross-Ade Stadium, West Lafayette, IN
Ohio State is one of the best teams in the nation, but the Buckeyes don’t always cover. On Saturday, OSU travels to Purdue. So covering might be even more difficult.
The Boilermakers D has played decent football for the most part. Ohio State gets the SU win while Purdue grabs the ATS victory.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Purdue +19.5 | Bet Ohio State at Purdue

Syracuse Orange at 4 Florida State Seminoles
ATS Odds: Florida State -17.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 12:00 pm | ABC
Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, FL
Syracuse started the season going 4-0. Since then, things haven’t gone well. The Orange have lost their last couple of games.
Both losses were via blowout. Clemson beat Syracuse 31-14. North Carolina trounced the Orange 41-7. Florida State should win this by 20.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Florida State -17.5 | Bet Syracuse at Florida State
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
Arkansas Razorbacks at 11 Alabama Crimson Tide
ATS Odds: Alabama -19.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 12:00 pm | ESPN
Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL
Arkansas is having a bad season. The Hogs started okay when winning their first couple of games.
But the wheels fell off the wagon. The Razorbacks have lost 4 straight. Alabama has won 3 straight against quality opponents. Bama cruises to a cover victory.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Alabama -19.5 | Bet Arkansas at Alabama
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Game
23 Kansas Jayhawks at Oklahoma State Cowboys
ATS Odds: Kansas -3
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 3:30 pm | FS1
Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, OK
Kansas is a good football team, but they’re up against it in this. Jalon Daniels won’t play. So without their quarterback, the Jayhawks will struggle to move the football.
Also important to note is that Oklahoma State beat one of the better teams in the Big 12, Kansas State, 29-21 in their last. This happens in Stillwater and the Cowboys are getting 3 points. Oklahoma State is the play.
College Football Week 7 ATS Pick: Oklahoma State +3 | Bet Kansas at Oklahoma State

NCAAF 2021 Regular Season – Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
Previous Betting News
Given what has already happened in college football this season, we are all looking ahead to Week 7 wondering where the next big upset is going to come from. After all, how many of you had Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson all having losses and being outside the top 4 at this stage of the season? I’d be surprised if anyone did, yet that is exactly where we are at. The Georgia Bulldogs are the new #1, but they have a tricky game this weekend against unbeaten Kentucky in what could essentially be the game that decides who wins the SEC East. There are a lot of big games on tap besides that one, though, so we are going to jump in and select a few matchups that we like for our ATS picks in Week 7. Let’s get to it so you can keep betting against the NCAAF odds.
Week 7 ATS Picks for the 2021 Season | NCAA Football Betting
Texas A&M Aggies (-9) at Missouri Tigers
How often have we seen a team deliver a staggering upset, only to fall back to earth with a poor display a week later? That is the trap that the Texas A&M Aggies will be looking to avoid after stunning Alabama in Week 6. They certainly have an easier task this weekend with a road trip to Missouri to face the Tigers, but as we said, it’s easy to have a bit of a let down after a huge win. Furthermore, this is a team that the Aggies have struggled against in the past, going just 1-5 SU in their last 6 meetings with the Tigers. This, though, feels a little different, as the Aggies finally looked like the team we thought they were going to be this season with the win over the Crimson Tide. A&M is 6-3 ATS in their last 9 and I think they improve on that here.
Duke Blue Devils at Virginia Cavaliers (-11)
With the Clemson Tigers looking like a bit of a mess this season, the ACC is suddenly up for grabs like never before. The Coastal Division, which is usually a bit of a dog-eat-dog situation, is very much the same this year, with the Virginia Cavaliers still in the hunt despite going just 2-2 in conference games. The good news is that they have now won 2 in a row in ACC play and can go over the .500 mark when they host the Duke Blue Devils this weekend. After a solid start to the season, Duke has seen their offense fall flat and come into this one on a 2-game losing skid. They have lost and failed to cover in each of their last 6 meetings with Virginia, so more of the same here I would think.
Purdue Boilermakers at Iowa Hawkeyes (-11 ½)
If you have been following our college football picks this season, you may have noticed a bit of a trend. The trend is that Iowa has become a favorite pick, so we are going to continue riding them this weekend, as they have proven to be a good pick every single week. This time, we are looking at them against the spread with the Purdue Boilermakers coming to town in Week 7. Purdue are 3-2 this season, but perhaps more concerning is that they have covered just twice in their last 10 games. On the flipside, Iowa is 7-1 ATS in their last 8, and while they have not covered in their last 5 versus Purdie, I think they snap that run this weekend.

NCAAF Season Week 7 ATS Picks Expert Analysis
Previous Betting News
It was another wild weekend in college football, with some of the top teams losing, while others had to battle to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. In the SEC, the Florida Gators took their first loss, going down to Texas A&M, a defeat that will drop them out of the top 4. We almost saw a major upset, with Ole Miss giving Alabama everything they had in an absolute thriller of game that went back and forth for the full 60 minutes. Bama survived, but they will have another tough one this weekend when they go head to head with Georgia. Meanwhile, it is Clemson who looks like the cream of the crop at the moment, as they crushed Miami and maintained their #1 ranking. Let’s look ahead to Week 7 and some of the ATS picks that we like, so you can place your bets against their NCAAF odds.
NCAAF ATS Picks for Week 7 | College Football Betting
Clemson Tigers (-27) at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
The Clemson Tigers have started this season looking very much like a team that has a chip on their shoulder after losing in the National Championship Game last season. Last weekend versus Miami was their biggest test of the season thus far against the Miami Hurricanes, but they made it look very easy, winning that one 42-17. The Tigers have now covered in 6 straight games versus teams from the ACC, and while this spread is up there, it is worth noting that Clemson is 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings with the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech have not been a great pick against the spread and are now just 3-11-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall.
Navy Midshipmen (-2 ½) at East Carolina Pirates
The Midshipmen got back to .500 on the season with a big win over Tulane in Week 6, pulling out a dramatic 31-29 win in that one. It was also a good weekend for East Carolina, as they ran out 44-24 winners over USF to get their first win of the season. The Pirates and the Midshipmen will go head to head this weekend in a game that the bookies see as being tight, with Navy in as a modest 2 ½ point favorite. Navy failed to cover the spread last weekend, but that might prove to be a good thing for bettors, as they are 5-0 ATS in the game following a failure to cover. They are also 6-0 ATS in their last 6 versus teams with a losing record.
UCF Knights (-3 ½) at Memphis Tigers
What we have here is essentially what boils down to a hunch play. This UCF team is not the one that we have seen over the past few seasons, when they were actively campaigning to be part of the college football playoffs. Furthermore, you look at their trends against the spread and you don’t find a lot to like, yet I still see them as being more than capable of winning and covering against a Memphis Tigers team that has now failed to cover in each of their last 5 games. They are also 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog.

Previous Betting News
Could the Michigan State Spartans shut down superstar running back Jonathan Taylor to either get the outright road win or ATS cover when they visit Wisconsin for their Week 7 Big Ten battle? Are the Penn State Nittany Lions locks to get the road win and cover against Iowa in another intriguing Big Ten matchup? Last but not least, are the LSU Tigers good enough to cover the chalk as a double-digit home favorite against Florida in their matchup of SEC unbeatens? We take a look at the top picks to bet against the spread for College Football Week 7.
2019 College Football Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
No. 23 Michigan State (4-2) at No. 9 Wisconsin (5-0)
- When: Saturday, October 12th. 3:30 PM ET
- TV: BTN
- College Football Week 7 Odds: Wisconsin -10 / Total: 40.5
Michigan State saw their modest two-game winning streak come to an abrupt halt in their humbling 34-10, Week 6 loss against Ohio State. The Spartans are averaging a decent 27.8 points per game (75th) while limiting the opposition to 18.2 points per contest defensively (21st).
Wisconsin moved to 5-0 on the season by routing overmatched Kent State 48-0 this past weekend. The Badgers are putting 43.4 points per game (11th) while limiting the opposition to a mind-boggling 5.8 points per game to lead the nation in fewest points allowed. Wisconsin has also won two of the last three meetings in this rivalry including an emphatic 30-6 blowout road win a year ago. With the way the Badgers are playing on both sides of the ball, I see almost no way that Michigan State gets the upset road win in this Big Ten battle.
Pick: Wisconsin 31 Michigan State 17
No. 11 Penn State (5-0) at No. 14 Iowa (4-1)
- When: Saturday, October 12th. 7:30 PM
- TV: ABC
- College Football Week 7 Odds: Penn State -3 / Total: 43.5
Penn State is off to an excellent start and the Nittany Lions come into this Week 7 Big Ten matchup off a convincing 35-7 smackdown win over Purdue this past weekend. Penn State is putting up a fantastic 47.0 points per game to rank sixth in scoring while ranking an even more impressive second in points allowed (7.4 ppg). Iowa struggled to score and had their four-game winning streak snapped in their 10-3 loss to Michigan on Saturday. The Hawkeyes are averaging 27.4 points per contest (81st) while limiting the opposition to just 8.8 points per game to rank a phenomenal third in points allowed.
Penn State has won five straight against Iowa including a 30-24 home win last season as a 5.5-point favorite. While the Nittany Lions are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings, Iowa has gone a polar opposite 4-1 ATS in their last five home dates in this series. Still, with both teams possessing superior defenses in this matchup, give me the Lions and their far more explosive offense.
Pick: Penn State 24 Iowa 17
No. 7 Florida (6-0) at No. 6 LSU (5-0)
- When: Saturday, October 12th. 8:00 PM
- TV: ESPN
- College Football Week 7 Odds: LSU -13 / Total: 54.5
Seventh-ranked Florida remained unbeaten by getting a statement-making 24-13 home win against Auburn on Saturday to cover the chalk as a 2.4-point underdog. The Gators are averaging 32.5 points per game (53rd) while limiting their opponents to just 9.5 points per game defensively (5th). LSU throttled overmatched Utah State 42-6 on Saturday to remain unbeaten and the Tigers are leading the nation in scoring by putting up a stupendous 54.6 points per game while allowing 19.8 points per contest defensively (29th).
While I love the way quarterback Joe Burrow (22 TDs, 3 INTs) is playing in LSU’s clearly revamped and more potent offense, I’m a bit stunned that the Tigers are double-digit favorites in this matchup. Florida is clearly very good this season and even if the Gators don’t manage to get the outright upset, I believe they’ll easily cover the spread because of their outstanding defense.
Florida has won two of the last three meetings in this SEC showdown including a 27-19 home win a year ago as a 1-point underdog. This time around, the Gators cover again, while pushing the Tigers really hard for the outright win.
Pick: LSU 24 Florida 21
Mississippi State Bulldogs (-6 ½) at Tennessee Volunteers
- When: Saturday, October 12th. 12:00 PM
- TV: ESPN
- College Football Week 7 Odds: Mississippi State Bulldogs -6.5 (Total 53)
For a quarter and a half last week, it looked as thought the Tennessee Volunteers might just be able to hang with the Georgia Bulldogs. A couple of TD’s from the Dawgs just before half-time put that to rest, leaving the Volunteers sitting at 1-4 on the season.
They have the same 1-4 record against the spread now, and while they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings with Mississippi State, this season feels like a big step backwards for the Volunteers. In their last 10 games played in Week 7, the Bulldogs are 9-1 ATS, so a good pick here, I would think.
Betting Trends
- Mississippi State are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games played in week 7
- Tennessee are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games played on a Saturday
Maryland Terrapins (-4 ½) at Purdue Boilermakers
- When: Saturday, October 12th. 12:00 PM
- TV: ESPN
- College Football Week 7 Odds: Maryland Terrapins -4 (Total 57)
The Maryland Terrapins started this season on fire, scoring 142 runs in their opening 2 games. After that, though, the wheels came off, with the Terrapins losing back to back games and managing just 17 runs in those two games. They had a return to form last week, though, beating Rutgers 48-7 and getting their offense back on track.
This week will see them go on the road to face a Purdue Boilermakers that is 1-4 SU and ATS this season. While the Terrapins have not been great against the spread on the road, I think they cover here.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Indiana Hoosiers (-27 ½)
- When: Saturday, October 12th. 12:00 PM
- TV: ESPN
- College Football Week 7 Odds: Indiana Hoosiers -28 (Total 51)
This season, Rutgers have been a little bit of a whipping boy. After opening the season with a 48-21 win over Massachusetts, the Scarlet Knights have been torn apart on a fairly regular basis, In the 4 losses since winning in Week 1, Rutgers have managed just 23 points, while giving up 160 in 4 games.
They are now just 1-4 ATS in their 5 games this season. The Hoosiers have not been great against the spread this season, but they are a pretty decent bet at home, going 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games at home. I like Indiana to win and cover here.
UNLV Rebels at Vanderbilt Commodores (-14 ½)
- When: Saturday, October 12th. 4:00 PM
- TV: ESPN
- College Football Week 7 Odds: Vanderbilt Commodores -14.5 (Total 59)
This is one of those games where the pick looks obvious, yet you get the sense that the spread bet is there for the taking if you go the other way. The UNLV Rebels are 2-3 ATS this season, while the Vanderbilt Commodores are 0-5 ATS through their first 5 games.
The Commodores are also just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games played in Week 7. This would seem to point to the Rebels being able to cover, but I am going with Vanderbilt in this one.

College Football Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
Previous Betting News
After 6 weeks of the 2018 college football season, it’s clear who the favorites are for the National Championship. Alabama is very much at the top of the heap and they are followed by a very familiar cast of characters. Every team on that list of favorites is just one loss away from falling out of the top, though, and we have a few games this week that could impact the rankings. For now, we are going to focus on some NCAA Football Week 7 odds to bet against the spread, but we will also have SU and O/U picks later today, as well as some parlay tickets for you to play.
NCAA Football Week 7 ATS Betting Picks
Nebraska Cornhuskers at Northwestern Wildcats (-5 ½)
The Scott Frost regime in Nebraska is off to the worst start imaginable, with the Cornhuskers going winless through the first 5 weeks of the season. They will be looking to finally break that goose egg this weekend, but they have a rather tricky road trip to face the Northwestern Wildcats ahead of them.
The Wildcats are a disappointing 2-3 on the season, but it is what they have done against Nebraska that counts here. The Cornhuskers are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 visits here, but perhaps more importantly, they have only managed 2 wins in their last 9 road games overall. I think the misery continues for Nebraska on Saturday.
Oklahoma State Cowboys (-6 ½) at Kansas State Wildcats
While it’s always a good idea to look at trends when teams go head to head, there are also times when you need to ignore those stats, look at the current season, and just go with your gut. That is what I am doing with this game. The Cowboys have been more than a little disappointing, already dropping a pair of games in the early going, but they are still better than this Kansas State team, who appear to be lacking confidence after losing 3 in a row.
The Cowboys have only covered once in their last 6 meetings with Kansas State, yet my gut tells me that they are going to win and cover here. This is a risky play, but one that I am taking.
Texas A&M Aggies (-2 ½) at South Carolina Gamecocks
The Aggies are in rebuilding mode under new head coach Jimbo Fisher, but there are already signs of improvement in year one. The Aggies handed the Kentucky Wildcats their first loss of the season last week, with their only defeats this season coming at the hands of Alabama and Clemson, the latter of which they very nearly won.
The Gamecocks were supposed to be the biggest threat to Georgia in the SEC East this season, but they have been somewhat disappointing thus far. The Aggies have gone 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games and I think they cover again here.
Miami Hurricanes (-6) at Virginia Cavaliers
The Hurricanes are coming off a huge come from behind victory over arch-rivals Florida State last week, a win that kept them alive in the race to be ACC Champions. They don’t really have time to savor that victory, as they head out on the road this week to face the 3-2 Cavaliers as a 6-point favorite.
This is another game where the stats don’t really justify my pick here, with the Hurricanes covering just once in their last 5 games against Virginia. The Cavaliers are 4-1 ATS this season as compared to the 3-3 record of the Hurricanes, yet I think it will be Miami who gets the job done.
College Football Week 7 ATS Betting Analysis & Expert Picks
Previous Betting News
Week 7 of the college football season does not feature much in the way of ranked teams going head to head, with many of the top teams in the nation going up against opponents that they should put away with relative ease. In order to find some value this weekend, we need to steer clear of the SU picks when playing the big teams, choosing instead to look at playing against the spread. We have put together a College Football Week 7 ATS Betting analysis that we believe will help give your bankroll a boost this coming weekend.
After all, we all want to have a nice stack of bills sitting in front of us when the playoffs and Bowl Games come around, and the good news is that we still have a few weeks to make that happen. Once you have checked the latest NCAAF Odds, we will be ready to go!
College Football Week 7 ATS Betting Analysis & Expert Picks
South Carolina Gamecocks (+3) over Tennessee Volunteers
Things are not looking good in Tennessee, as the Volunteers are seeing their season sink like a stone while the calls for the firing of Butch Jones are getting louder and louder. While it is certainly nothing more than conjecture, the word is that another loss for the Vols this weekend will mean that the AD will be looking for a new head coach. That is a lot of pressure to put on a team that really just is not very good. The Gamecocks are not a whole lot better, but they are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games, compared to a Tennessee team that is just 2-7 ATS in their last 9. I like the Gamecocks to win and cover here.
West Virginia Mountaineers (-3) over Texas Tech Red Raiders
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have become known as a team that knows how to put points on the board, meaning that very few teams are able to hang with them offensively. The West Virginia Mountaineers, led by QB Will Grier, are one of the teams that can match them point for point. This two hook up this weekend in what should be an explosive game featuring a ton of offense. This is one where the trends would suggest that the Red Raiders are the better choice ATS, but I have a feeling that the Mountaineers are going to come out and win this one by at least 10 points.
Georgia Bulldogs (-30) over Missouri Tigers
We are 6 weeks into the NCAAF season and no team has yet been able to slow down the Georgia Bulldogs running game. They line up showing you that they are going to run the ball down your throat, and while it’s obvious what they are doing, teams are powerless to stop it. The Missouri Tigers have one of the worst defenses in college football, giving up 157 points in 4 straight losses, and they look like a team that is getting ready to take another beating when they line up between the hedges in Athens this weekend. The Bulldogs will have this one wrapped up by that half, and I believe they will cover handily.
Auburn Tigers (-7) Over LSU Tigers
If there is any team in the SEC West that can upset the apple cart and dethrone the Alabama Crimson Tide, it is the Auburn Tigers. They have bounced back from an opening week loss, reeling off 5 straight wins in rather convincing style. It has been an up and down year for LSU, and while they did bounce back from a stunning loss to Troy by beating the Florida Gators on the road, it was an ugly win and a performance that will not hold up against a team as good as Auburn.
College Football ‘Treyfecta’ Of Week 7 Underdog And ATS Free Picks
Previous Betting News
If you’re looking for some potentially bankroll-boosting college football ATS picks, then you’re going to love the ‘treyfecta’ of Week 7 picks that you’re about to get on three underdog that all look like strong candidates to cover the spread in their respective matchups this coming weekend.
Okay, with that said, let’s find out why the Wisconsin Badgers, Temple Owls and Arizona Wildcats are all looking good heading into Week 7.
Analyzing The College Football Heads Up ‘Treyfecta’ Of Week 7 Underdog And ATS Free Picks
Temple at Central Florida
When: Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 7:30 PM ET NCAAF Odds: Temple +3
Analysis: Temple Owls may not be living up to their billing as a preseason top 25 candidate after finishing in the top 25 a year ago under now, widely-respected head coach Vern Rhule, but the Owls are the easy pick to not only cover the college football betting line, but to do so by winning outright.
I know Central Florida has won two of three against temple dating back to 2013, but Temple laid a emphatic 30-16 spanking on the Knights last season and I believe they’re primed for another win this time around after getting humbled in their 34-27 loss against Memphis last weekend.
Central Florida has struggled mightily in going 1-8 SU and just 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games while temple has gone 5-0 ATS this season and 15-8 ATS in its last 23 road games. More importantly, Temple has the big edge in coaching and will have the best player on the field in underrated running back Jahad Thomas, a player I expect to see playing on Sundays in the very near future.
Pick: Temple +3 Points
USC at Arizona
When: Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 3:30 PM ET NCAAF Odds: Arizona +8
Analysis: The USC Trojans have won two straight and got past Colorado 21-17 last weekend while the Arizona Wildcats have lost three straight while giving up at least 35 points in each contest. Nevertheless, it is the Wildcats that are my pick to cover the college football betting line as a 8-point home dog, seeing as how Arizona has not lost to USC by more than eight points over the last nine meetings dating back to 2007.
Not only that, but USC has lost three times on the road this season and Arizona is the better offensive team statistically as they average 3.1 points per game more than the Trojans despite allowing 4.5 points per more than their longtime Pac-12 rivals. I’m just about sick and tired of watching USC underachieve and I believe sheer desperation will drive the Wildcats, not only to the ATS cover, but the outright home win in a thriller.
Pick: Arizona +8 Points
Ohio State at Wisconsin
When: Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 8:00 PM ET NCAAF Odds: Wisconsin +10.5
Analysis: Wisconsin suffered their first loss of the season in their hard-fought 14-7 defeat against Michigan the last time out, but the Badgers did nothing to embarrass themselves and look like a great Week 7 upset pick at home against unbeaten Ohio State.
While the Buckeyes pounded Indiana 38-17 last weekend to move to 5-0, the Badgers have an elite defense (12.2 ppg) that I believe will not only keep them in this contest against Ohio State, but give them the shot of winning outright. While Ohio State is averaging an insane 53.2 points per game, the Buckeyes will take on a Wisconsin team that has not allowed more than 17 points in any game this season and has gone 6-1 SU and ATS over their last seven games dating back to last season.
I know Ohio State has won four straight in this series including last season’s emphatic 59-0 shutout win at home, but this is not last season and Wisconsin has looked great against comparable opponents in beating Michigan State 30-6 two weeks ago and narrowly lost to Michigan last weekend.
Ohio State is 7-3 SU and ATS in their last 10 games against Wisconsin, but they’ve only outscored the Badgers by an average of less than nine points per game over the stretch and I believe this matchup is going to turn out to be a knock-down, drag-out affair that ends up a lot closer to a field goal finish than a double-digit spanking. Wisconsin covers while pushing Ohio State for the outright win.
Pick: Wisconsin +10.5 Points
