2022 NCAAF AP Top 25 Betting Options: Best Ranked Teams to Wager On Week 4

The top 25 rankings for college football has a lot to digest as we enter Week 4 of the regular season. Today, we are going to discuss some College Football Betting options we can take with some of the ranked programs this week, as well as talk about some big topics for some teams.

Top 25 College Football Analysis and Betting Opportunities | September 21st Edition

#22 Texas Longhorns (-6.5) vs Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Texas Longhorns have been dealing with an injury at the most important position. Freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers was able to practice this week for the first time since suffering an SC sprain in his left shoulder against Alabama on September 10. That could’ve derailed their season, but Texas still is the 22nd-ranked program heading into their big game against Texas Tech

The Red Raiders just faltered last week as they lost on the road to the NC State Wolfpack 27-14. Their quarterback, the sophomore Donovan Smith, has been having turnover issues as he has five interceptions in his previous two games. Texas is 3-0 against the spread this season so go with them to cover here.

#17 Baylor Bears (+3) vs Iowa State Cyclones

This game should be a lot of fun, even if you do not have a dog in the fight. Two dominant defenses square off at Jack Trice Stadium here with teams with different offensive blueprints. The Baylor Bears want to run the ball while the Cyclones are ready to drop back and pass.

Freshman running back Richard Reese has stepped up big time for Baylor as he has seven yards per carry with five rushing touchdowns so far. The eye of the Iowa State Cyclone’s offense is senior wide receiver Xavier Hutchison, who is tied for second in the nation with 28 catches on the year.

These defenses are going to be tough, but expect this game to be decided by one possession either way, and the Baylor Bears getting points to cover the spread in enemy territory.

Kent State Golden Flashes (+45.5) vs #1 Georgia Bulldogs

This is not to say a major upset is happening because I am not predicting that to happen, but 45.5 points means a lot needs to go right in order to hit that number. One or two punts can easily make that number unreachable. This Georgia defense is suffocating, and that might not be enough as they allowed ten total points through three games.

Their offense has been dominant as well behind senior quarterback Stetson Bennett having a bunch of top wide receivers around him. They are putting up 43.3 points per game, but that does not reach the 46 points they need to lead by to cover the spread. Just the ability to run the ball and pick up a few first downs will drain the clock enough to fade the Bulldogs here.

4 Florida State Seminoles at Clemson Tigers

NCAAF Odds: Florida State -1.5; Clemson +1.5 / Florida State -125; Clemson +103 / O/U 55.5
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 12:00 PM | ABC
Memorial Stadium, Clemson, SC

The Florida State Seminoles had a tough one at Boston College last week. Now, they are looking to pick up their second signature win as they take on Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers.

Florida State has too much talent and a loaded offense, as the Tigers take their second loss of the season. Betting Florida State on the road is the way to go.

15 Ole Miss Rebels at 13 Alabama Crimson Tide

NCAAF Odds: Ole Miss +7; Alabama -7 / Ole Miss +220; Alabama -280 / O/U 55
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 3:30 PM | CBS
Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL

Lane Kiffin and his Ole Miss Rebels would love to send the Crimson Tide back to .500 with their second-season loss. Do not be surprised if that happens. This Ole Miss offense is talented.

Look for Ole Miss to push the pace and dare the Crimson Tide, who struggled to score against South Florida, to try to keep up here. Look for Ole Miss to win this game on the road.

19 Colorado Buffaloes at 10 Oregon Ducks

NCAAF Odds: Colorado +21; Oregon -21 / Colorado +650; Oregon -1100 / O/U 71
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 3:30 PM | ABC
Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Deion Sanders and his most formidable opponent yet this season. The Buffaloes have won their first three games but have yet to see anyone quite like the Oregon Ducks.

Look for Colorado to compete hard and tough, but in the end, the Oregon Ducks are a more talented football team.

22 UCLA Bruins at 11 Utah Utes

NCAAF Odds: UCLA +4; Utah -4 / UCLA +163; Utah -202 / O/U 51.5
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 3:30 PM | FOX
Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, UT

Another Pac-12 team, the UCLA Bruins and Utah Utes, play a battle for first place in the league. Right now, there are many teams at the top of the league.

The Utes are a very organized, slower-paced team. This should be a fun one, but the home team has the better advantage here.

14 Oregon State Beavers at 21 Washington State Cougars

NCAAF Odds: Oregon State -2.5; Washington State +2.5 / Oregon State -139; Washington State +113 / O/U 56
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 7:00 PM | FOX
Martin Stadium, Pullman, WA

This is a pretty overlooked College Football game. Both of these teams are putting together sensational 2023 seasons. The Oregon State Beavers are a team that can score, but the big story has been the defense. The Beavers have allowed just 33 points through 3 games so far.

For the Cougars, they have scored 48 points per game in their first three games. Both teams want to be in the mix for the Pac-12 title game, but a win in this one would be a huge first step.

6 Ohio State Buckeyes at 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

NCAAF Odds: Ohio State -3.5; Notre Dame +3.5 / Ohio State -185; Notre Dame +150 / O/U 54
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 7:30 PM | NBC
Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, IN

The 3-0 Buckeyes at the 4-0 Fighting Irish. A pair of unbeaten teams, both with intentions of reaching the College Football Playoff. This should be a great football game. The winner will have arguably the best win of the young season, along with Florida State and Texas.

Look for the Buckeyes to use their combination of rushing and passing game, while Notre Dam e will show off their new weapon against a talented Buckeyes pass defense.

Betting this NCAAF Week 4 Game: Ohio State Buckeyes | Bet Ohio State at Notre Dame

24 Iowa Hawkeyes at 7 Penn State Nittany Lions

NCAAF Odds: Iowa +14.5; Penn State -14.5 / Iowa +550; Penn State -841 / O/U 41.5
Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at 7:30 PM | CBS
Beaver Stadium, University Park, PA

It will be a relatively slow and methodical game in Happy Valley, but both teams would be happy with the win. Both teams are unbeaten, with Iowa coming off their blowout win over Western Michigan. Penn State went on the road and beat Illinois.

Look for Iowa to compete in this game and cover the two-score spread, but in the end, the Nittany Lions are too talented to beat.
