The new number one is Texas.

After Historic Loss to Vandy, Bama Falls to 7

Saturday, October 12th, 2024

AP voters had to punish the Alabama Crimson Tide but they didn’t have to punish them in such a way that left them out of the race for the National Championship.

If this was last season, a loss to Vanderbilt would have but ended Alabama’s chances at winning the title.

But the expanded 12-team CFP allows for a slip up or even two slip ups because conference winners, and Bama is still an SEC contender, get automatic bids to the playoff.

Also, before the stumble, Alabama had beaten Georgia the week before.

The Tide was due for a letdown and this Vanderbilt squad is one of the best the program has ever had.

Alabama should take their frustrations out on South Carolina this Saturday.

The Tide roll to a win and cover against the Gamecocks.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: Alabama

2 Ohio State Travels to Autzen to Face Off Against 3 Oregon

Saturday, October 12th, 2024

College Football Week 7’s top matchups has an already bitter Big Ten rivalry on tap.

Although Ohio State and Oregon will play against each other as conference foes for the first time, it feels as if these two have thrown down for decades.

The feeling is due to the fact that Oregon ranks third and Ohio State ranks second.

Also, both teams are playing lights out on both sides of the football.

One thing Oregon has over the Buckeyes is that the Ducks have faced adversity and gotten through it.

Boise State had Oregon on the ropes.

The Ducks grew up in the game, rallying to beat the Broncos.

Since that matchup, Oregon has dominated.

Ducks pull off the home moneyline upset.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: Oregon

Texas Battles Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry

Saturday, October 12th, 2024

Last season’s Red River Rivalry almost derailed Texas’s march to the College Football Playoff.

Dillon Gabriel rallied the Oklahoma Sooners to an improbable victory.

This season, Gabriel doesn’t play for Oklahoma.

He steps under center for the Oregon Ducks.

Jackson Arnold is a decent quarterback but Oklahoma’s talent pales in comparison to Texas’s.

The Longhorns should cruise to a win and cover even if the point spread is high at -14.5.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: Texas

5-Georgia Takes on Miss State Before Next Week’s Massive Clash Versus Texas

Saturday, October 12th, 2024

The Bulldogs must prevent a letdown performance this Saturday.

Next Saturday, Georgia travels to Austin to throw down against the Texas Longhorns.

Unlike Vanderbilt, though, Mississippi State doesn’t have the talent to upset Georgia.

The Dawgs could play a terrible game and they’d still beat Miss State.

The spread is massive, though, -34.

So backing Miss State to cover is a decent play.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: Georgia

Clemson Rises Five Spot to Land at 10

Saturday, October 12th, 2024

Who would have thought that Clemson, which looked awful in a laughable loss to Georgia in their first game of the season, would play well enough to climb back into the top 10?

Dabo Swinney’s squad ranks tenth this season after throttling the hapless Florida State Seminoles.

The Noles are a bad football team, though.

In fact, outside of Georgia, Clemson has played nothing but cupcakes.

Another cake party should happen on Saturday because the Tigers get to beat up the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

If Wake Forest keeps the game close, which they shouldn’t, Clemson will fall in the poles.

If you’re betting this one, back Clemson to get the win and cover.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: Clemson

4 Penn State Faces USC at the LA Coliseum

Saturday, October 12th, 2024

Oner of the top matchups of the week pits Penn State against USC at the LA Coliseum.

The Nittany Lions have climbed all the way to fourth.

One of the reasons is because Alabama and Tennessee lost this past Saturday.

Penn State isn’t a sure fire winner versus a struggling USC team.

The Trojans go home after an upset road loss to Minnesota.

The USC defense is playing excellent football.

So if Lincoln Riley’s offense can get going, the Trojans can win this.

Take a shot on USC to pull off the upset victory.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: USC

LSU Can Climb Back into Top 5 with Win Over Ole Miss in Baton Rouge

Saturday, October 12th, 2024

A lot is at stake for both LSU and Ole Miss on Saturday.

If the home team Tigers beat the Rebels, LSU could climb back into the top 10 on the AP Poll.

If the Rebels win, they’re the team that could scamper back into the top 10.

Ole Miss bounced back from a dreadful performance against Kentucky in NCAAF Week 5 to throttle South Carolina on the road this past Saturday.

The Rebels appear to be back in form.

LSU has done nothing wrong since an opening game loss to the USC Trojans.

The Tigers have a massive advantage since this game happens in Baton Rouge, one of the toughest venues to play.

Give LSU the nod to win and cover.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: LSU

Tennessee Loses to Arkansas

The Volunteers’ loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks in College Football Week 6 wasn’t a terrible defeat.

The Vols fell 19-14 in a road game versus an underrated Hogs program.

Arkansas has a good offense.

So the fact the Volunteers held Arkansas to 19 points is a good sign.

Nico Iamaleava will have a better game versus a Florida team that doesn’t have much going for it.

Tennessee covers against one of the more mediocre SEC squads this season.

NCAAF Week 7 Pick: Tennessee

NCAA Football AP Poll 25 Betting Update: Top Ten Ranked Teams Heading Into Week 7

Previous Betting News

We saw a lot of movement in this week’s AP College Football poll after the Week 6 results. It’s rather unusual that teams in the Top 10 get jumped in the rankings after a win, but we saw it happen twice this week. Let’s take a look at this week’s Top 10 so you can continue making your bets against their College Football Betting Odds.

This Week’s College Football AP Poll 25 Analysis for Week 7

1. Georgia Bulldogs

After a 42-10 win over Auburn, the Georgia Bulldogs moved up to the #1 spot in the polls. Georgia had been #2 last week. The Bulldogs are once again on a collision course with Alabama for an SEC title.

2. Ohio State Buckeyes

CJ Stroud just keeps putting up huge numbers. In last week’s 49-20 win over Michigan State, Stroud threw for 360 yards and 6 touchdowns. It’s starting to look like the Michigan game at the end of the season will be for a berth in the Big 10 title game.

3. Alabama Crimson Tide

Even though they won, the Tide dropped two spots in this week’s poll. By escaping with a 24-20 win over Texas A&M, Alabama is still undefeated. Remember, they didn’t have Bryce Young for this one.

4. Clemson Tigers

Clemson jumped from #5 to #4 this week after easily defeating Boston College. The Clemson defense is playing well, and DJ Uiagalelei is starting to get things together. Clemson looks like a shoo-in for a spot in the ACC title tilt.

5. Michigan Wolverines

Even though they beat Indiana, the Michigan Wolverines dropped a spot. They looked disinterested during the game. They could’ve been looking ahead to the Penn State game this weekend.

6. Tennessee Volunteers

We can’t wait for the Vols to clash with the Crimson Tide this weekend. Last weekend, Tennessee went to Death Valley and destroyed LSU. It would be huge for Josh Heupel’s squad if they could upset Alabama.

7. USC Trojans

The USC Trojans just keep on rolling. Caleb Williams is leading the high-powered offense of Lincoln Riley. The Trojans are on a collision course with the UCLA Bruins.

8. Oklahoma State Cowboys

With their victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Oklahoma State Cowboys remained undefeated. They’re well on their way to another Big 12 title game.

9. Ole Miss Rebels

Quietly, the Ole Miss Rebels are having another great season. They still have a tough road ahead, but Lane Kiffin’s squad could pull off some big upsets along the way.

10. Penn State Nittany Lions

Penn State is headed to the Big House this weekend to take on the Wolverines. A loss by either team would be crippling at this point of the season. Penn State’s schedule has been fairly soft thus far, so we’re not sure how good they truly are.

Betting Tip of the Week

We just talked about the Penn State at Michigan matchup. Penn State has yet to play a strong team. This game is at Michigan, and that will give them a big advantage. The Wolverines have one of the best defenses in the country, and they specialize in stopping the run. Penn State has been a ground-attack team this season. Michigan’s offense will also give Penn State some issues.

We like the Wolverines to win this one by 10, covering the seven-point spread along the way.

8 Oregon Ducks at 7 Washington Huskies

NCAAF Odds: Washington -2.5/ Oregon +126; Washington -155 / O/U 68
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 37:30 PM | ABC
Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA

This is the best game of the week. The unbeaten Oregon Ducks are on the road at the unbeaten Washington Huskies. Both teams are coming off a bye from a week ago.

The Ducks score more than 51 points per game, the second most in College Football. The Ducks are throwing for more than 330 yards and picking up 560 yards per game.

On the other side, the Huskies are doing similar things. Washington is scoring 47.9 points per game and throwing for 446 yards and 571 total. Both the offensive yardage is the best in the country.

Look for fireworks here. Michael Penix Jr. is the best player on the field, and they are at home here.

10 USC Trojans at 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

NCAAF Odds: Notre Dame -2.5 / O/U 61.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 7:30 PM | NBC, Peacock
Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, IN

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are coming off a tough loss at Louisville. The Irish now have two losses on the season. While their National Title picture is probably closed, Marcus Freeman and his team would love to take down Lincoln Riley and the boys from Southern California.

The problem here is that the Irish are beaten up. They have seen a brutal schedule. USC had their scare and will be more than ready for this game.

Look for Caleb Williams to have a much better game here after struggling against Arizona. USC goes on the road and wins this game over the Irish.

25 Miami Hurricanes at 12 North Carolina Tar Heels

NCAAF Odds: North Carolina -3.5 / Miami +148; North Carolina -183 / O/U 56.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 7:30 PM | ABC
Kenan Stadium, Chapel Hill, NC

No one is more embarrassed after Week 6 than the Miami Hurricanes. All it took was a kneel-down, and they beat the Georgia Tech at home. If they win that game, they enter Chapel Hill with an unbeaten record.

North Carolina is rolling right now. The Tar Heels are closing in on being a Top-10 team in the country. North Carolina is one of the best offenses in College Football, with just shy of 477 yards per game. The Tar Heels score 35.8 points per game, coming off back-to-back 40+ against Pittsburgh and Syracuse.

For Miami, their offense has struggled all season. Look for them to have a tough time keeping up in this one.

Missouri Tigers at 24 Kentucky Wildcats

NCAAF Odds: Kentucky -2.5 Missouri +112; Kentucky -136 / O/U 53.5
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 7:30 PM | SEC,ESPN
Kroger Field, Lexington, KY

While these teams were ranked a week ago, both took a Week 6 loss. Kentucky remained in the rankings, while the Tigers fell out. The Missouri Tigers lost a tough one at home to LSU.

The Wildcats ran into a buzzsaw known as the Georgia Bulldogs. Regardless, we still have one of the best games of the week. Missouri continues to toss the ball all over the field with signal call Brady Cook.

The Tigers are scoring 32 points per game. For Kentucky, they are more of a defensive team. Before the Georgia game, the Wildcats allowed just 15.2 points per game. That went up considerably after the Bulldogs scored 51.

Look for both teams to have a bounce back and for this to be a great football game.

Auburn Tigers at 22 LSU Tigers

NCAAF Odds: LSU -11 / Auburn +320; LSU -440 / O/U 63
Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 7:00 PM | ESPN
Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA

In a battle of the Tigers at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. Auburn is looking to get back on track after losing back-to-back games. Those losses were to Texas A&M and Georgia. They have Ole Miss next on the slate, so it does not get any easier.

A big win in Columbia for LSU will have Brian Kelly’s team in much better spirits. In the victory, LSU saw Jayden Daniels toss for 258 yards and also rush for an additional 130 yards in the game.

This should be a fun one, but LSU is the better team and at home.
