Why Bet on Boston College’s NCAAF Spread at +34.5?
Boston College has gotten pounded in each of their last two games including their 34-10 Week 2 home loss to Wake Forest as a pick ‘em and their 49-20 Week 3 loss to Notre Dames as a 14-point home underdog. Freshman quarterback Anthony Brown completed 24 of 40 passes for 215 yards with two touchdowns but threw two costly interceptions in the loss. Now, the Eagles will take on a Clemson squad that is loaded and apparently intent on getting back into thee four-team playoff at the very least. “They’ve got playmakers all over the field,” Boston College coach Steve Addazio said. “I think the quarterback, Kelly Bryant, is a very athletic guy. He runs the ball. He reminds me of how (Boston College quarterback) Tyler Murphy used to run the ball. Throws the ball well.” Eagles will face a Tigers defense that leads the nation in sacks (16) and is ranked eighth in points allowed (10.0 ppg). Linebacker Dorian O’Daniel leads the Tigers in tackles behind a bunch of likely NFL performers on the defensive line. He had five tackles at Louisville last week and returned an interception 44 yards for a touchdown. “On defense they’ve always been outstanding, and they continue to be,” Addazio said. “Their front is big and athletic. The linebackers run well. Their secondary is one of the better secondaries I’ve seen. They rally to the ball as good as any defense I have ever seen.”Team Statistics
