NCAA Football Cincinnati Wins Total Betting Prediction for Upcoming 2022 Season

NCAA Football Cincinnati Wins Total Betting Prediction for Upcoming 2022 Season

It will be awfully hard for the Cincinnati Bearcats to top last season. After finishing the regular season undefeated and winning their conference title, they had a date in the College Football Playoffs with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Although they played with the Tide for much of the game, Alabama pulled away late, ending the Bearcat’s dream season.

Fast forward to the fall of 2022, and while the Bearcats may still be a very good team, they’re not going to be as good as last season.

Luke Fickell is still at the helm. Fickell made it clear that he wanted to stay at Cincinnati and wasn’t going to be taking offers to leave. Fickell still has a lot of talent and a decent schedule, and he’ll be preparing his team for a jump to the Big 12 next season. Let’s take a closer look at what lies ahead for Cincinnati so you can plan your bets against their NCAAF Regular Season Wins Odds.

What do the Oddsmakers Think?

After going 13-1 last season, the oddsmakers are still high on the Bearcats, but not that high. Their over/under win total prediction has been set at 9.5. While they’re still playing in the AAC, some other teams in that conference have made improvements, and they’ll be out to knock the Bearcats out of the top spot.

2022 Schedule

We’ll see how good Cincinnati is in Week 1 as they head to Arkansas to take on Sam Pittman’s Arkansas Razorbacks. This will be a very tough test against a very good SEC team.

If Cincinnati can pull this one out, we know that they will be a very good team. Their other non-conference foes will be Kennesaw State, Miami of Ohio, and Indiana.

They start the AAC season with a tough stretch of games. They’ll be at Tulsa, host SMU and South Florida, make the trip to Texas to take on SMU, and then head south to take on Central Florida.

They’ll end the season hosting Navy and East Carolina, head to Temple, and finish their regular season hosting Tulane. If they can get through the first stretch of the conference season, they should be in good shape the rest of the way.

Season Overview

The three main cogs of the offense from last year are gone. Desmond Ridder, Jerome Ford, and Alec Pierce are moving onto bigger and better things. We’ll see if sophomore quarterback Evan Prater can follow in Ridder’s footsteps.

The good thing for Prater is that Cincinnati’s offensive line should be one of the best lines in the country. This will also help the Cincinnati running attack, as it should be solid. If Fickell can replace some of the lost receivers, this offense can be a very good unit once again.

On the defensive side of the ball, the defensive line should be good, the linebacking corps will be solid, but the secondary will have some work to do. Losing Sauce Garnder will be huge for Cincinnati.

They also lost Coby Bryant and Bryan Cook to the NFL. We see teams picking on Cincinnati’s secondary this season.

This team should win the AAC once again this year. They won’t be as dominant as last season, but this team is talented enough to get to 10 wins.
