NCAAF Season Week 15 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on December 7, 2020

This weekend, we will have the usual busy slate of games in college football, but you can bet that the majority of eyes are going to be on one game in particular. The Ohio State Buckeyes are a perfect 5-0 on the season and sitting in a playoff spot right now. The problem that they have is that a team needs to play at least 6 games to be eligible for the Big Ten Championship Game, which means that their game versus the Michigan Wolverines this weekend needs to avoid postponement, which is certainly not guaranteed. A postponement may well be enough to see them on the outside looking in at the playoffs. We will watch as that story develops this week, bit for now, let’s stick to our ATS picks for Week 15 along with their NCAAF odds.

NCAAF ATS Picks for Week 15 | College Football Betting

Wisconsin Badgers at Iowa Hawkeyes (-1 ½)

After a shocking start to the season that saw Iowa lose their opening 2 games, they are now on a run that has seen them win 5 in a row. Not only have they been picking up wins, they have also been covering the spread, doing so in 4 of those 5 victories. It has been a disjointed season for the Wisconsin Badgers, as they have only managed to play 4 games to this point, putting together a 2-2 SU record in the process. They come into this game on the heels of back-to-back losses, failing to cover the spread in both of those defeats. It is also worth noting that the Badgers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a SU loss. The Hawkeyes are 4-1-1 ATS this season and are rolling, so I like them to win and cover this slim spread.

Purdue Boilermakers at Indiana Hoosiers (-10)

The Big Ten is in a little bit of turmoil at the moment, with the cancellation of games and the uncertainty surrounding the Ohio State Buckeyes. One team that has been able to steer clear of all the mess has been the Indiana Hoosiers, who come into Week 15 with a 6-1 record. If we get to a point where the Buckeyes cannot play enough games to appear in the Championship Game, the door would open up for Indiana. They need a win this weekend against a Purdue team that is 2-4 SU on the season and who have failed to cover in each of their 2 road games this season. On the flipside, the Hoosiers have been a spectacular bet against the spread, covering on all 7 games this season. I like them to improve on that record this weekend.

Oklahoma State Cowboys (-5 ½) at Baylor Bears

I will admit that this might be a bit of an iffy pick. The reason I say that is because with their loss to TCU over the weekend killed any shot at Oklahoma State making it into the Big 12 Conference Championship Game. They have now lost 2 of their last 3 games, but what is perhaps more concerning is that they have now failed to cover the spread in each of their last 5 games. One thing that swings me in the direction of the Cowboys is that they are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a SU loss. On the flipside, you have the Baylor Bears, who are 2-4 on the season, who are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss. I am taking a shot and going with the Cowboys to cover.
