2017 Belk Bowl Betting Odds & Preview: Wake Forest vs. Texas A&M

College Football Sharp Betting Picks Of The Week (Nov. 5th)

Written by on November 3, 2016

So far this week, we have covered Week 10 of the college football season from just about every angle imaginable. We have had SU and O/U plays, as well as a few parlays that we hope will put a little extra cash in your bankroll. All that is left, besides looking at a bunch of the games individually, is to try and pick some sharp plays ATS. This is the wager that I have always found to be the trickiest when it comes to college ball, since you never know which teams are going to put their foot on the gas for four quarters to score style points, and which are going to let up and start putting back-ups in when the game gets out of control. For me, figuring that stuff out is all part of the fun, though, so let’s have a look at my Week 10 ATS picks.

In Depth Analysis On The College Football Sharp Betting Picks Of The Week (Nov. 5th)

Virginia Cavaliers (+3) at Wake Forest Demon Deacons

These are two teams that don’t hook up on a regular basis, but when they do, it tends to be a close game. I don’t think this one is any exception, and there are a couple of things that have me favoring Virginia ATS here. They are 5-2 ATS as the underdog this season, over the past 3 seasons they have gone 6-1 ATS in Week 10 through 13. Consider that the Wake Forest Demon Deacons are just 1-3 ATS as a favorite this season and you get the Cavaliers to cover.

Memphis Tigers (-3) at SMU Mustangs

This was one that jumped off the page when I saw it, simply because of how things have gone between these two teams over the past two seasons. Last year, Memphis won this meeting 63-0, and the year before that it was 48-10. It has not been a particularly good season for the Tigers, and they are coming into this one on a 2-game losing skid, but this might just be the match-up that snaps them right out of that.

Kansas Jayhawks at West Virginia Mountaineers (-34.5)

The West Virginia Mountaineers are coming into this one after suffering their first loss of the season in Week 9, and I like them to bounce back in a big way this weekend. Kansas are a woeful 0-7 this season, and have only managed to cover the spread once in those losses. They have given up at least 44 points in each of their last 3 games, and could well go above that number once again if the Mountaineers offense gets rolling. I like West Virginia to win by at least 40 points here, easily covering the spread.

Alabama Crimson Tide (-7.5) at LSU Tigers

The champions are rolling once again this season, and they can come close to locking up the SEC West with a win over the LSU Tigers this weekend. Alabama has won the last 5 meetings with LSU straight up, and are 5-3-2 ATS in the last 10 games versus the Tigers. Alabama are a solid 6-2 ATS this season, and I think they will improve that record with a double digit win this weekend.
