College Football Week 9 Nation’s Top 10 Teams

Written by on October 31, 2016

Okay college football betting lines enthusiasts, while nine of the nation’s top 10 teams all picked up victories in their respective Week 9 matchups, you need to know what went down this past weekend – and what could take place for each of these national title hopefuls this coming weekend. This look back at the week that was – and quick glimpse forward at each team’s respective Week 10 matchups, will both, inform and entertain.

In Depth Analysis On The College Football Week 9 Nation’s Top 10 Teams

No. 1 Alabama

The Tide got a bye this past weekend and will be we-rested for their Week 10 matchup against LSU and Leonard Fournette. Alabama Crimson Tide has not allowed a rusher to rack up more than 62 yards in any game this season.

No. 2 Michigan

The second-ranked Wolverines got past rival Michigan State 32-23 this past weekend while failing to cover the spread as insane 24-point favorites just as I predicted. Next up for Jim Harbaugh’s squad is dangerous Maryland – and another insanely high point spread!

No. 3 Clemson

The third-ranked Tigers aren’t blowing people away like they did last season, but they keep finding ways to win and still have arguably the best player in all of college football in gifted signal-caller Deshaun Watson. After getting past Florida State 37-34 this past Saturday, Clemson has a much easier matchup in Week 10 against Syracuse.

No. 4 Washington

The Huskies had their hands full but managed to get past dangerous No. 16 Utah 31-24 on Saturday to remain unbeaten. Next up, Washington takes on a Cal bears team that has not lost at home this season.

No. 5 Louisville

The Cardinals almost suffered their second loss of the season with the key word being almost. Thanks to the heroics of leading Heisman trophy contender Lamar Jackson, No. 5 Louisville got past Virginia 32-25 this past weekend to keep their four-team playoff hopes alive. Jackson tossed four TD passes in the win, but the Cards face a defensive-minded Boston College team in Week 10 that could pose problems.

No. 6 Ohio State

The Buckeyes got a hard-fought 24-20 win over Northwestern on Saturday, but they’re going to have their hands completely full in Week 10 against a solid Nebraska team that just suffered its first loss of the season.

No. 7 Texas A&M

The Aggies blew New Mexico State out of the water in its 52-10 win on Saturday, and should be able to roll all over Mississippi State in their Week 10 SEC showdown.

No. 8 Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers picked up a thrilling 23-17 overtime win against Nebraska on Saturday and I believe they’re in line for a nearly identical victory in Week 10 against a dangerous Northwestern team.

No. 9 Nebraska

The Cornhuskers suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday – and I believe that No. 8 Wisconsin will make it two straight by taking down their Big Ten rivals this coming weekend.

No. 10 Florida

The Gators manhandled Georgia in its 24-10 Week 9 win on Saturday to get back in the national top 10 and could do the same to an Arkansas Razorbacks team that has struggled mightily lately by dropping two of their last three games.
