One of the disadvantages of playing outside the Power 5 Conferences is that there is little reason to get excited about the release of the rankings by the college football playoff committee. Unless a change is made to the current format, such as expanding the number of playoff teams, this is always going to be the case. Combine that with the fact that they are only managing to score 20 PPG and you can quickly see why they are not winning games one a regular basis.
