While the 2019 NCAA college football championship game has yet to be played and the futures odds to win next season’s national championship haven’t been released as of yet, collegiate gridiron gaming enthusiasts everywhere are already looking toward next season in anticipation of who might hoist the 2020 national championship. Thanks to this fun-filled look at some of the expected NCAAF Betting favorites to win it all, you’re going to get the expert insight that you’ll need in order to identify just which teams could bag next season’s national championship hardware.

Alabama +500
Seriously? The Crimson Tide are perennial title favorites each and every year. With Tua Tagovailoa coming back next season, the Tide will likely be prohibitive favorites.
Clemson +400
Along with Alabama, the Tigers are the best and most consistent team in all of college football. With seriously gifted freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence back under center next season, Clemson will definitely contend once again.
Notre Dame +1000
Despite getting completely overwhelmed by Clemson in the national semifinals, Notre Dame will likely contend for the national championship next season. Then again, I’m not real fond of quarterback Ian Brook, so there’s that as well.
Oklahoma +1000
The Sooners have lost back-to-back Heisman Trophy winners at the quarterback position, but I’m expecting Lincoln Riley to keep this now, an elite program in national championship contention for years to come – or should I say as long as he stays before bolting for the greener pastures of the NFL.
Georgia +700
The Dawgs got pounded (pun intended) in their 28-21 Sugar Bowl loss to Texas, but I am completely expecting Georgia to be right back in the mix for a playoff berth next season. Quarterback Jake Fromm and what should be another stout defense will almost assuredly challenge for something outside of the SEC Championship next season.
Ohio State +1000
With Urban Meyer gone and Ryan Day taking over, no one knows how good Ohio State will be next season. Personally, I’m thinking the loss of quarterback Dwayne Haskins means the Buckeyes won’t be challenging for anything significant come next season.
Michigan +1500
I have absolutely no faith whatsoever in Jim Harbaugh’s ability to get it done at his beloved alma mater.
Ironically, I think Harbaugh is one of the finest coaches in either the NFL or college, but no, I’m not feeling the Wolverines chances of winning it all next season.
Washington +1000
With quarterback Jake Browning and running back Myles Gaskin both bolting for the greener pastures of the NFL, Washington will be in a bit of a mini-rebuild next season.
Just losing those two players alone leads me to think Washington will be a better title contender the year after next than they will be in 2019.
Florida +1800
The Gators smacked Michigan senseless in their Peach Bowl showdown and now, they look like they could really contend next season under the widely respected Dan Mullen depending on who starts under center.
Penn State +1800
Following last season, the Nittany Lions lost Saquon Barkley and this time around it will be quarterback Trace McSorley. I’m thinking the losses of both stars means James Franklin will be in a rebuild in 2019.
As a side note, this early look at the top contenders to win it all next season could change quite drastically depending on the talent level of each school’s current recruiting class.
