National Championship Game SU, ATS, and O/U Wagering
Many college football fans looking to wager on the game will be out to keep things simple, which will likely mean just going with an SU pick. The good news here is that the odds for both teams have been set at a figure that can deliver a nice profit with a winning ticket. Alabama is the favorite at -185, while the Georgia Bulldogs are on the board at a very tasty +155. It would be easy to simply choose the favorite and the team with the most playoff experience, but I like the Bulldogs to spring the mild upset. As far as the ATS odds go, you are looking at the Alabama Crimson Tide as a 4-point favorite. I figure that this game is going o go right down to the wire, especially if both defenses play their best football. I would not be stunned to see this game decided by a Field Goal, so even if you like Alabama to be crowned as the college football champion, I still believe that Georgia to cover is the best bet. The point total for the big game is set at 44, and my feeling is that this one is going to go UNDER. Alabama has surrendered just 11 PPG all season long, while Georgia has given up 18 PPG. That number would be lower still were it not for the 48 points that Georgia gave up in the Rose Bowl. I am under all the way.National Championship Game Prop Bets
The first thing that I am looking at here are the individual team totals, and I will start with Alabama, who have been given a team total of 24 ½ points. Jalen Hurts has been struggling at the QB position over the last few games, and he is going to have a tough time using his mobility against a speedy Georgia D. I think Alabama falls well short of the total at odds of -115.
