A win is a win, though, and Florida State comes into this weekend ranked #4 in the nation, which is a position they can cement, or perhaps even improve on, with a win over Clemson. The Seminoles are now on a run that has seen them win 9 in a row, but this one could be an issue given that they have lost the last 7 meetings with the Tigers. They also failed to cover in 6 of those 7 games, but they are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games overall. The OVER has hit in each of the last 6 games for Florida State.

Why bet on the Clemson Tigers

The harsh reality for the Clemson Tigers heading into this weekend is that they have absolutely zero margin for error. They opened the season with a stunning loss at the hands of Duke, and while they have won their other 2 games, that Week 1 defeat is going to hurt them in the eyes of the Playoff Committee even if they are unbeaten the rest of the way. One of the best ways to get the committee on their side would be to take out a top 4 team in a must win game. As we mentioned above, the Tigers have dominated this matchup in recent years, but this one feels very different. That said, Clemson has won 19 of their last 20 games at home, but they are also a very poor 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games in the month of September.
