Hottest Week 5 O/U College Football Odds Picks

Written by on October 3, 2015

After a largely successful time in the NCAA Football betting odds with our Week 4 OVER and UNDER picks, it is now time to jump into our over and under picks for Week 5 in college football.

Let’s Count Down the Hottest Week 5 O/U College Football Odds Picks

Best Week 5 OVER Picks

Alabama at Georgia, OVER 51

Though it’s unquestionable that Alabama’s front seven is among the best in the nation, and the Bulldogs haven’t been too rugged either in the D-line, both teams will be coming into this SEC showdown knowing that the win will most likely go to the strongest offense. So right from the get-go, both teams are likely to trade heavy offensive blows, with the running backs particularly getting the bulk of the workload. And given the talent of Derrick Henry (Alabama) and Nick Chubb (Georgia), along with above-average QBs on both sides, both teams should be good for around 30-or-more points each, helping the total up for an OVER.

Kansas State at Oklahoma State, OVER 49.5

This game features two good offensive units and equally questionable defenses, meaning points are likely to come in plenty, so the total should easily surpass the 50-point mark. FYI, the last meeting between the two teams came on Nov. 1, 2014, ending 48-14 in favor of Oklahoma State. Other Worthy Week 5 OVER Picks: •    Oregon at Colorado, OVER 69 •    Arkansas at Tennessee, OVER 54 •    Ohio State at Indiana, OVER 66.5

Best Week 5 UNDER Picks

Texas Tech at Baylor, UNDER 87.5

Yes, the Red Raiders have a lethal offense, and so do the Bears. However, Texas Tech’s QB Pat Mahomes is not fully fit from an injury he suffered last week, while Baylor’s defense is better than TCU’s unit that was torched for easy points by the Red Raiders. Therefore, although this game is still likely to be a shootout affair and many bettors are heavily leaning on the OVER side; Baylor’s defense is likely to regulate the scores, ensuring that the few bettors who will go with an UNDER get paid here.

Notre Dame at Clemson, UNDER 51

Though most talk about Clemson has been revolving around the Tigers’ offense, the defense also deserves credit for the team’s unbeaten run so far. For example, after giving up more than 200 yards on the ground in Week 2 against Appalachian State, Clemson held Louisville to just 19 yards rushing two weeks ago. With Notre Dame known to rely heavily on running plays as sophomore backup QB DeShone Kizer seeks to get his footing as starter, it doesn’t look like we’ll be having a high-scoring affair in this game. Added to the fact that Notre Dame’s defense has also been playing quite well and this game will be played in a rainy weather because of Hurricane Joaquin, an UNDER totals looks very ripe here. Other Worthy Week 5 UNDER Picks: •    Florida Intl at Massachusetts, UNDER 56 •    East Carolina at SMU, UNDER 67 •    Vanderbilt at Middle Tennessee, UNDER 48.5
