Final Betting Analysis
We shouldn’t discount Iowa’s homefield advantage. The Hawkeyes have a big edge because for the first time since 2019, Kinnick Stadium should be at capacity.
Hawkeye fans are as rabid as any group of fans in the Big Ten. Not only that, but Kirk Ferentz will ensure his team makes few mistakes and steps it up when required.
But even though Iowa has all the advantages, they don’t have Michael Penix Jr. The Indiana quarterback not only can pass the ball, but he can also run with it.
Penix Jr.’s dual ability will put Iowa on their heels. The Hawkeyes’ defensive backs will have to cheat and move up as the game progresses. Eventually, Penix Jr. will notice the cheating and burn Iowa for a big score.
The Indiana moneyline is the play. The Hoosiers feel they’re a contender to upset Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State in the Big Ten East. Doing so means winning road games versus teams like the Hawkeyes.
