NCAAF NC State Wolfpack Win/Loss Total Betting Prediction for the 2022 Season

NCAAF NC State Wolfpack Win/Loss Total Betting Prediction for the 2022 Season

The 2020 season was one that most college football fans have put in the rearview, as it was something of a disaster due to the COVID pandemic. The ripple effect from that season is still being felt, though, with teams taking advantage of the NCAA allowing an extra year of eligibility. One team that is potentially going to benefit from that is the NC State Wolfpack, as they have several seniors back after using that extra season of eligibility. This is team that won 9 games last season, and who were denied a double-digit win season after UCLA were forced to drop out of the Holiday Bowl. They have a lot of great pieces still in place and a schedule that looks to be of the favorable variety. That may explain why the bookies have set their win total for the season at 8 ½. The feeling is that this team could well repeat what they delivered last season, or perhaps even do a little better, so let’s break their season down to see how things might play out for the Wolfpack in 2022. Let’s get right to it so you can plan your bets against their NCAAF Regular Season Wins Odds.

NC State 2022 Season Betting Prediction: Win/Loss Total Record

Wolfpack Regular Season 2022

The goal for the Wolfpack this season is to win their division and get to the ACC Championship Game. They came close last season, falling just behind Wake Forest in the Atlantic Division in what was a down year for Clemson. They will have a chance to open up strong, as they open up on the road against Charleston Southern before heading home to face East Carolina, both very winnable games. Things get a little tougher in Week 3 with a home game against Texas Tech, but let’s remember that NC State went 7-0 at home last season. They will close out September at home to UConn, with a shot at a perfect month and a 4-0 start.

Arguably the toughest test for the Wolfpack comes in the first week in October when they go on the road to face the Clemson Tigers. I expect Clemson to be a whole lot better this year, so we could be looking at an NC State loss. They will then face Florida State at home before heading back out on the road to face Syracuse. October ends with another home game, which starts a run of 3 in a row for NC State in their own building, with that one coming against Virginia Tech.

Heading down the stretch, the Wolfpack will kick off the month of November with a critical home tilt against Wake Forest. That’s a game that could have huge Conference Championship implications. They will then face Boston College at home before hitting the road to face Louisville and UNC.

Beyond the Regular Season

Looking at the schedule, the two games that jump out at you right away are the meetings with Clemson and Wake Forest. It will likely be those 3 teams vying for the top spot in the Atlantic Division, so they are absolutely huge. The reality is that I think the Wolfpack will come up short again this season, but they do have a very good chance to match the 9 regular season wins they had in 2021, which would have them going over the win total. That would be enough to put them in a decent Bowl Game.
