North Carolina vs Georgia Tech College Football Week 9 Odds & Betting Analysis

North Carolina vs Georgia Tech Odds & Betting Analysis for Week 9 Match

A pair of Atlantic Coast Conference teams will get together on Saturday in Atlanta. The North Carolina Tar Heels are 6-1 on the season and will take on the 3-4 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are coming off a tough loss at home to the Boston College Eagles. The Yellow Jackets were outscored 21-0 in the fourth quarter of the game. The Yellow Jackets were looking to win their second straight following their upset win over the Miami Hurricanes.

For the North Carolina Tar Heels, they were ranked 10th in the nation before their loss at home to the Virginia Cavaliers. The loss was their first of the season and dropped them back to a group of four teams with a conference loss.

The Tar Heels are trying to get some revenge for the 21-17 loss to the Yellow Jackets a season ago. North Carolina is the favorite in this game. They are listed at -11.5.

Maye and Tar Heels Seeking Bounce Back

The Tar Heels quarterback was a candidate for the 2023 Heisman, but his stats in the loss to the Cavaliers will not help his cause. Drake Maye was 24 of 48 for 347 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception.

The Tar Heels signal-caller now has over 2,200 passing yards and 14 touchdowns on the season. North Carolina ranks 10th in all of College Football with 321.3 yards per game.

Omarion Hampton has been a great running back for the Tar Heels, with 770 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. The top target in the pass game has been JJ Jones, with 417 yards and 25 receptions. North Carolina is scoring 35.9 points per game, but the defense is allowing teams to score 22.4 per game.

The Tar Heels will play this game and then host Campbell and Duke in their next two games before road games at Clemson and NC State to wrap up the regular season.

Yellow Jackets Seeking to Keep the Sting on Tar Heels

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have not won or lost two in a row all season. What started as a home loss to Louisville has seen loss, win, loss, win all the way to 3-4. If that holds up, Georgia Tech should win this game.

Haynes King is the starting quarterback for the Yellow Jackets. King has thrown for more than 1,800 yards and 17 touchdowns. Eric Singleton Jr is the top target for the Yellow Jackets passing attack, with 20 receptions and 355 yards, along with five touchdowns. Georgia Tech is scoring 29.7 points per game.

The Yellow Jackets will play back-to-back road games after this one. Georgia Tech is at the Virginia Cavaliers next week and then will take a trip to Clemson to battle the Tigers. After that, the Yellow Jackets have home games against Syracuse and Clemson to finish the regular season.

North Carolina vs Georgia Tech Odds and Betting Prediction | Tar Heels Win on the Road

North Carolina is going to win this game. The passing game of the Tar Heels is too good for Georgia Tech to slow down and too much to keep up with as well.

Drake Maye knows he needs to be better, and the fat of the matter is – the Tar Heels still control their own destiny to get to the ACC title game. The Tar Heels come away with a win in this game, getting on the scoreboard early and often.

The final bet for the game on Saturday is the North Carolina Tar Heels -11.5 over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
