Last Season
The last time Miami lost a game was Oct. 29 last year in South Bend, 30-27. Justin Yoon kicked a 23-yard field goal with 30 seconds left. Notre Dame outgained Miami 143-2 in total yards in jumping to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter and extended the lead to 20-0 early in the second quarter. But special teams turned it around for Miami. Both starting QBs that day, the Hurricanes’ Brad Kaaya and Irish’s DeShone Kizer, are now in the NFL. ESPN GameDay will be on hand this Saturday. This will mark the 7th straight time Notre Dame has been on the road in a GameDay site. The last time ESPN came to Notre Dame’s campus was back in 2012 for the Stanford game. Notre Dame is 8-11 all-time on the road when they are playing at a GameDay site. Brian Kelly sports a record of 4-5 in GameDay appearances. Why Bet On Notre Dame?
The Irish are going to reach the playoff if they win out but won’t if they lose here. They come off a 48-37 win over Wake Forest. The Irish (8-1) racked up 710 total yards, coming within 10 yards of the previous school single-game record of 720 set against Navy on Nov. 1, 1969. It was a balanced attack, with 380 rushing yards to go with 330 yards through the air. Quarterback Brandon Wimbush was responsible for 390 total yards, leading Irish rushers with 110 yards (two touchdowns) and passing for another 280 (one touchdown). Wimbush’s two rushing touchdowns brought his season total to 13 — extending his school record — and his career total to 14 — tying for seventh all-time with Joe Montana and Everett Golson. Wide receiver Chase Claypool hauled in a career-high 180 yards with one touchdown to lead all receivers. Star RB Josh Adams left early vs. Wake Forest because he “wasn’t feeling right,” as Kelly said after the game. Adams carried the ball just five times for 22 yards. Meanwhile, Wimbush suffered a bruise on his non-throwing hand and played a portion of the game with a protective wrap on it. Both will be good to go vs. Miami. The one question mark for the Irish moving forward appears to be senior wide receiver Cam Smith. Smith has missed the team’s past three games with a hamstring injury.Team Statistics

Why Bet On Miami?
The Canes likely earned a spot in the ACC title game for the first time with last Saturday’s 28-10 home win over ranked Virginia Tech. Miami’s defense held Virginia Tech to 149 yards of total offense in the opening half, and allowed just 299 total yards over the course of the game. The Hokies were 3-of-14 on third down and averaged just 4.0 yards per play, while turning the ball over four times. Canes QB Malik Rosier finished the game 10-for-21 for 193 yards and accounted for three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) with three interceptions. He has thrown at least one touchdown pass in each of his nine career starts. Rosier’s 84 rushing yards on 13 carries were a career high. With the victory, the Hurricanes have the inside track to the ACC Coastal Division title. Miami has won eight consecutive games at Hard Rock Stadium and improved its FBS-leading win streak to 13 games. The win was costly though as redshirt junior defensive end Demetrius Jackson sustained a right-knee injury and had surgery Monday. A UM spokesman called it a “right lower extremity injury’’ and said that Jackson’s “status for the remainder of the 2017 season will be determined after the surgery.” Miami ranks first nationally in tackles for loss (8.8 per game), fifth in team sacks (3.5) and third in team passing efficiency defense (98.33). The Hurricanes trail the all-time series with Notre Dame 18-7-1, but Miami has won five straight matchups against the Fighting Irish in Miami. The Irish have not won in Miami since 1977. Miami has lost four straight games overall to Notre Dame – including a 27-30 loss on Oct. 29, 2016.Team Statistics
