I have no idea why Oklahoma is favored by a whopping 15 points in this contest, but I don’t like them to cover it against a Texas Tech team that can put points on the board like they’re going out of style! 51 percent of public bettors like Texas Tech and I’m a bit surprised that the figure isn’t even higher. After watching Oklahoma’s loss against Texas two weeks ago, I believe the Sooners are severely overrated, making Texas Tech my pick to cover the spread while pushing the Sooners really hard for the outright win. Three of the last four meetings between these teams have been decided by 12 points or less and I fully expect this contest to turn out the same way. The Sooners are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win and a dismal 0-4 ATS in their last four home games against a team with a winning road record. I know Texas Tech is just 1-4 ATS in their last five road games against Oklahoma, but the Red Raiders are also 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an SU or ATS loss and a bankroll-boosting 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Red Raiders have scored at least 30 points in every game this season and will do so again in this matchup while covering the spread with room to spare.
