The historic expansion of the College Football Playoff to 12 teams has opened the door wide for several contenders, and the Ole Miss Rebels are a team to watch closely according to Ole Miss betting lines.

2024 College Football season
Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels are looking forward to the start of the 2024 College Football season.
Out of the SEC, the Rebels are one of many looking to get into the College Football Playoff, which will feature 12 teams this season.
A season ago, the Rebels were fantastic, with 11 wins in 13 games.
They finished 9th in all of College Football.
The Rebels were a great offensive team, as they scored 163 more points than they allowed.
9.5 Wins for the Rebels in 2024
There really is no reason the Ole Miss Rebels shouldn’t be 4-0 when they start their SEC slate against Kentucky.
The first four games for the Rebels are at home against Furman, Middle Tennessee, a trip to Wake Forest, and another home game against Georgia Southern.
Even the week 5 affair at home against the Kentucky Wildcats should be a win for the Rebels.
Ole Miss should be 5-0 as October rolls in.
There is no time off as they enter October, and their first big road game is at South Carolina on October 5th.
That is the first of back-to-back road games, as they head to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers in Week 7.
After a week off, the Rebels will finish the month at home, but take on Oklahoma, who is in their first season as members of the SEC.
November is a mixed bag of games as they start the month on the road at Arkansas.
The next week, they are at home against Georgia, before a trip to Gainesville, Florida on November 23rd.
The final game is the Egg Bowl on the day after Thanksgiving. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are always an interesting game, with the Rebels getting to host this season.
This has the makings of a 10-2 season for the Rebels.
The two projected losses we see are on the road at LSU, and at home against Georgia. We are betting the OVER 9.5 wins for the Rebels.

To Win SEC +700
With two conference losses, this is probably going to be tough to win.
But, a win over Georgia, or a win on the road at LSU, and you never know.
Going to the end of the season with just one conference loss is going to get them an opportunity to compete in the SEC title.
The SEC is full of great teams, so it’s going to be hard to survive without a loss.
But, with a single loss, we like their chances.
This could be worth a risk, at 7/1.

To Make College Football Playoff -125
To reach the College Football Playoff is a bet that the Ole Miss Rebels have good odds to do.
Remember, there are 12 teams that are going to head to the College Football Playoff in the NCAAF season.
Don’t be surprised if the SEC has 3 teams in the playoffs.
So, even if the Rebels do not reach the SEC title, they can still get in.
At -125, this is a hard wager because the schedule certainly has some games that could trip them up.
At -125, these odds are not ones we want to deal with.

Playing a SEC schedule is certainly going to have the Rebels prepared for whatever they see down the line.

Ole Miss Rebels Betting for Upcoming 2023 Football Season
Previous Betting News
Ole Miss appeared to be a contender for the SEC West Division title last season but faded down the stretch. The Rebels opened with a 7-0 record, then ended up finishing 8-5. The slide to end the season may have prompted Ole Miss to be aggressive in pursuing more quarterbacks in the transfer portal.
The Rebels brought in two quarterbacks to compete with returning starter Jaxson Dart. Ole Miss is hoping to find the right quarterback that will make them a competitor in the SEC West Division. Here’s a look at what to expect from Ole Miss this season.
Let’s see if the Ole Miss Rebels have what it takes to back the odds to win the National Championship this season.
Ole Miss Rebels 2023 Season Betting Guide | MyBookie College Betting Preview
Ole Miss Rebels | Southeastern Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season
School: University of Mississippi
Head coach: Lane Kiffin | 4th season
Home field: Vaught–Hemingway Stadium | 64,038
Ole Miss Odds to Win Championship: +9000
Will Jaxon still Be Throwing Darts?
Dart threw for 2,974 yards and threw for 20 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season after transferring from Southern California. Despite a strong first season, Ole Miss brought in Oklahoma State’s Spencer Sanders and LSU’s Walker Howard to compete with Dart.
Sanders started for four seasons for the Cowboys. Last season, Sanders saw his competition percentage drop below 50 percent. He passed for 2,642 yards and 17 touchdowns.
People Think the Rebels Should Be Solid
Ole Miss has won 18 games in the past two seasons under Lane Kiffin. The Rebels’ over/.under for their win total is 7.5 games. Ole Miss has the fifth-best odds to win the division; the Rebels are +1500.
The Rebels are +5500 to win the SEC.
Ole Miss Has a Trick Non-conference Matchup
The Rebels shouldn’t have too many problems taking down Mercer, Georgia Tech, and Louisiana-Monroe. Ole Miss, however, will make a Sept. 9 road trip to Yulman Stadium to take on Tulane that won’t be a walk in the park. The Green Wave beat USC in the Sugar Bowl last season and was one of the top teams nationally.
Tulane is returning solid players from the last team’s roster and won’t want to miss out on a chance to beat a SEC team.
SEC will Test Ole Miss Right Away
Mississippi knows exactly where they stand in the SEC standings by the end of September. Ole Miss will open conference play at Alabama before coming home to play LSU and Arkansas. Last season, the Rebels lost to all three teams.
The Crimson Tide and Tigers are set to once again to contend for prizes on the national stage, while the Razorbacks are hoping to bounce back from a tough end to last season.
Early November will Be Tough Too
The Rebels will open in November with Texas A&M. Ole Miss will follow up the next week with a trip to defending national champion Georgia. Those teams will both more than likely grab a win over Ole Miss.
Ole Miss Rebels Season Prediction
Kiffin better figures out the quarterback situation sooner rather than later. The SEC West is a division that features several national championship contenders who won’t want to slip up against the Rebels. Ole Miss will be a solid team, but will struggle to get to seven wins and will stay under the win total.
