Why Arizona Can Bounce Back
To recover from their previous loss, the Cats will hugely depend on Jerrard Randall to have a good game under the center, that is if Anu Solomon is not fit to play. In his limited time as a relief for Solomon, he is completing just 44.7 percent of his passes for 236 yards, two touchdowns and one pick. As potentially good news for the Wildcats, Solomon seems to be making good recovery from the concussion he received in the 56–30 loss to UCLA. He could therefore feature in this game, offering much better play at QB than Randall. This season, Solomon has thrown for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, making him the number one threat to Oregon State’s defense that has is allowing 26.3 points and 331 yards per game. For a combined effort, Cayleb Jones and David Richards have tallied 486 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while Johnny Jackson has 19 receptions to his name. These receivers must also step up and offer dependable targets to the QB who will be leading the team. Of course, the Beavers ground game, averaging 286.8 yards for every contest, will also need to chip in with its fair share of offensive workload. In this regard, Nick Wilson, who leads the Pac-12 at 123.2 rushing yards per game and has totaled 616 yards and six touchdowns this season, will need to take charge of the running game. Why Oregon State Can Bounce Back
The Beavers are ranked last offensively in the Pac-12 scoring, totaling just 338.3 yards per game and only 149.8 yards per game in the air. To play better, the Beavers will need QB Seth Collins, who is completing 54.7 percent of his passes for 581 yards and five touchdowns, to balloon up his average numbers and do more than just passing for one TD in each of his games this year. In his supporting crew, Jordan Villamin and Storm Woods are the top receivers, combining for a total of 393 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Victor Bolden is also a familiar name in the aerial game with 14 receptions to his name. Collins and his offense will be going against a questionable Arizona defense that is allowing 35.2 points and 453 yards per game, which should be a big motivation for them to make a couple of key plays that could give them a winning chance in Arizona.Recap of Previous Games
Oregon State seems to have been bitten by the bug of poor performance, emphatically showcased in previous game—a dismal offensive performance that saw them get humbled by Stanford to a 42-24 home loss. In the first half of that clash, the game was tight as Oregon State nearly matched Stanford score by score, responding every time the visitors made a move. By half time, the game was tight at 21-17. Come second half, it was an entirely different story, as the Beavers defense crumbled, while the offense couldn’t muster any attack, leading to the shameful loss. Hopefully, their Week 5 bye will help them to play better this Saturday. Arizona faced the same foe as Oregon State, but with a worse outcome, losing 17-55 in a one-sided game. Christian McCaffrey ran for 156 yards and a touchdown, while Remound Wright scored three times to ensure the Wildcats had no life left in them. The game was pretty much over by the second quarter, as the Wildcats had no score in the first quarter, and could only make it 3-27 by the end of the second quarter. Our Beavers @ Wildcats Key Betting Trends
