No. 23 Washington will be looking to improve their chances of winning the Pac-12 when they host streaking No. 12 Oregon on Saturday. With the Huskies already suffering two inexplicable losses as double digit favorites no less, Chris Petersen’s squad will be going all out to slow down an Oregon team that has won five straight. The Ducks have an elite quarterback that could go first overall in next year’s NFL draft and excel in another phase of the game I’ll get to in just a bit. Now, let’s find out which one of these Pac-12 teams is offering the best value against their college football odds.

Why Bet On No. 12 Oregon?
There are a handful of great reasons to back the Ducks in this contest. First, they’re on fire, having won five consecutive games since falling to No. 11 Auburn in their opener, including a 45-3 win over Colorado last Friday. Then, there’s the fact that Oregon now has an elite defense that ranks third nationally in points allowed (8.7 ppg). The Ducks have outscored their opponents by the insane margin of 195-25, during their five-game winning streak while allowing just one touchdown and limiting each opponent to single digits. Last but not least, Justin Herbert has thrown 17 TD passes and just one interception.

Why Bet On the No. 23 Washington?
There are some valid reasons why Washington looks like a god pick to cover the chalk at home in this contest. First, the Huskies had a great performance in their overpowering 51-27 smackdown of Arizona last weekend to cover the chalk as a 6-point road favorite. Then there’s the fact that Washington is ranked inside the national top 30 in scoring (36.4 ppg 29th) and points allowed (19.6 ppg, 28th). The Huskies are playing at home and that should help, although it didn’t in their stunning Week 2 home loss against Cal. Last but not least, Washington has a bunch of great talent on both sides of the ball, starting with junior quarterback Jacob Eason, the once widely-acclaimed 2016 National Gatorade Player of the Year.

Oregon vs Washington Expert Analysis and Prediction
I know Washington is playing at home in this contest, but the Huskies have been wildly inconsistent this season and they’ve looked like a team that probably shouldn’t even be in the Top 25 after their awful losses to Cal and Stanford that saw them put up 19 and 13 points respectively.
While Oregon hasn’t beaten a lot of elite competition during their five-game winning streak, the Ducks did subdue the same Stanford Cardinals that defeated Washington, 21-6. I love the fact that15 different players register at least a half-sack and nine different players have intercepted a pass for Oregon this season and I believe they are going to show up in a big way to make life miserable for Jacob Eason and company. With Oregon going 5-1 ATS in their last six road dates against Washington, I’m going with the Ducks to get it done by winning outright!
Pick: Oregon 31 Washington 21
