Betting Week 2 of the College Football Season

College Football Week 2 gets off to a rocking start on Friday when Big 12 team BYU travels to Texas to take on ACC squad SMU.

Also on Friday Duke throws down against Northwestern then on Saturday, all eyes will be on Ann Arbor when Michigan hosts Texas.

Which games are good over/under plays?

Check out over/under college football odds for six of this weekend’s best total plays.

Writer’s Totals Picks for a for Week 2 – Looking for some Wins in Your Future?

BYU at SMU – O/U: 55.5

Friday, September 6th, 2024

Both teams project to score at will in this.

Although SMU and BYU’s defenses came up big in each team’s last game, both teams played a soft opponent that had no chance against them.

SMU and BYU each scored at a fantastic clip.

The Mustangs got their offense going by laying 59 on Houston Christian.

BYU dropped 41 onto Southern Illinois.

Go over.

College Football Week 2 O/U Pick: Over 55.5

Duke at Northwestern – O/U: 39.5

Saturday, September 14th, 2024

It’s rare to see a less than 40 points over/under total.

In this case, the point total is justified.

The Duke Blue Devils scored just 26 versus Elon in their first game.

Northwestern scored 13 in a 13-6 victory over Miami Ohio.

This game should go at a snails pace with Duke taking its time even though the Blue Devils boast a dual threat QB in Maalik Murphy.

Under is the play.

College Football Week 2 O/U Pick: Under 39.5

Texas at Michigan – O/U: 44.5

Saturday, September 14th, 2024

College Football Week 2’s top matchup should be a good one.

Michigan played inspired defense versus Fresno State in their first game, holding the Bulldogs to 10 points in a 30-10 win.

Holding Texas to 10 may not be possible.

The Longhorns are good for at least 28 in this game, which means if the Wolverines hope to win, they’re going to have to step it up on the offensive end.

Wolverines and Longhorns should go over by 6 to 10 points.

College Football Week 2 O/U Pick: Over 44.5

Arkansas at Oklahoma State – O/U: 59.5

Saturday, September 14th, 2024

Both the Hogs and the Pokes run spread offenses that lead to touchdowns.

Arkansas scored 70 versus overmatched Arkansas Pine-Bluff.

Oklahoma State dropped 44 against South Dakota State.

South Dakota State scored 20 against Oklahoma State.

So there’s no way the Cowboys keep Arkansas from scoring 30 in this.

The Pokes should also score 30.

The team with the final possession is likely to win straight up in one of those crazy over games.

College Football Week 2 O/U Pick: Over 59.5

South Carolina at Kentucky – O/U: 45.5

Saturday, September 14th, 2024

South Carolina beat Old Dominion but it wasn’t pretty.

The Gamecocks took down ODU 23-19.

Not only was it low scoring but South Carolina showed it struggles on offense.

Kentucky has a good defense.

The Wildcats held Southern Miss to 0 points in a 31-0 victory.

Kentucky should have no trouble holding South Carolina to 14 points or less in this.

Go under to cash.

College Football Week 2 O/U Pick: Under 45.5

Utah State at USC – O/U: 63.5

Saturday, September 14th, 2024

USC is back.

The Trojans secured the most impressive victory in week 1 when beating the LSU Tigers in the final minute of the game.

USC’s offense impressed.

The O-line appears much better than it was last season.

The defense, though, is where USC shined.

LSU scored just 20 points.

USC could shut down Utah State, which is why although the Trojans win this in a blowout, the game goes under.

College Football Week 2 O/U Pick: Under 63.5

NCAA Football Game Lines: O/U Picks for Week 2

Previous Betting News

Week 1 of the college football season is in the books, and we have already seen more than our fair share of surprises, perhaps none bigger than Coach prime taking his Colorado team to visit the TCU Horned Frogs and coming away with the win as a 21-point underdog. The thing about college football, though, is that there really isn’t any time to sit back and reflect on what you just accomplished, as there is always another game right around the corner. Now is not the time to get overconfident, as one game does not a season make. We are going to need to take that same approach this week after going a perfect 3-0 in our NCAAF O/U picks in Week 1. As good as that was, let’s see if we can keep things rolling in Week 2 of the season, so let’s get to the college football betting picks.

College Football Odds: O/U Picks Week 2 | MyBookie Sportsbook 2023 College Football Betting

Regular Season: August 26 to December 9
Week 2: Thursday, September 7 to Saturday, September 9, 2023

Ball State Cardinals at Georgia Bulldogs

NCAA Football Pick: OVER 52 ½
When: Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 12:00pm ET
Where: Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
TV: SEC Network

It was business as usual for the 2-time defending National Champion Georgia Bulldogs in Week 1, as they got their season started with a 48-7 win over UT Martin. There are some who will suggest that the Bulldogs did not look particularly sharp or dominant against a much lesser team, but let’s not forget that they have a new QB under center and that it might take him a minute to settle into the position and the pressure that comes with it. I think we might well see a much more complete performance from the Dawgs this weekend, which could be bad news for Ball State. I think Georgia might go OVER the point total all on their own.

Bet Ball State Cardinals vs Georgia Bulldogs to Win

Utah Utes at Baylor Bears

NCAA Football Pick: OVER 47
When: Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 12:00pm ET
Where: McLane Stadium, Waco, TX
TV: ESPN

You hate to say that a team’s season is dead on arrival after just one game, but that certainly looks to be the case for Baylor. They went into their Week 1 game against Texas State as a 27-point favorite, but they ended up losing 42-31 in what was arguably the upset result of the opening weekend. Things don’t get any easier in Week 2, as they will be hosting a Utah team that is coming off a rather comfortable win over the Florida Gators. In terms of the point total, the Utes are a great OVER bet on the road, with 8 of their last 11 games away from home going that route. It’s much the same story for Baylor, who have seen 9 of their last 11 overall go the way of the OVER.

Bet Utah Utes vs Baylor Bears to Win
MyBookie Betting Lines for NCAAF

Texas A&M Aggies at Miami Hurricanes

NCAA Football Pick: UNDER 51
When: Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3:30pm ET
Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
TV: ABC

Both of these teams got their season off to a solid start, with both coming out of Week 1 with the win. This, though, is a much tougher proposition for both of them in what should be a hard-fought, potentially low scoring game. There are a lot of trends that point to things going that way, starting with the fact that the Aggies have seen 10 of their last 11 games played in the month of September fall UNDER the point total. While the Hurricanes trend more toward the OVER, I think it will be Texas A&M controlling the tempo here, which is why I am very much on the UNDER.

Previous Betting News

Week 1 of the National Football League has ended, and now it’s time to start turning our attention to Week 2. There are, of course, 16 teams that won their Week One game and 16 looking to get on track with their Week Two game.

The National Football League saw some lower-scoring games in Week 1. Let’s see if that changes in Week Two.

That brings us to our NFL Week 2 Over/Under Picks. With the help of MyBookie’s expert, the NFL O/U picks should give you have a great chance to cash in NFL Week 2. Now, let’s get started.

NFL Week 2 Over/Under Betting Picks | MyBookie Regular Season Preview

2023-24 NFL | 104th season of the National Football League
Regular Season: September 13th, 2023 – January 19th, 2024

Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles | Thursday Night Football

O/U Total: 48.5
Thursday, September 14th, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. | NBC
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA

Minnesota played a low-scoring Week One game, but a lot of that had to do with their inability to quit turning the football over. That can be said for the Eagles as well. Both teams have offenses that have explosive players.

This game is going to go OVER the number. Justin Jefferson on one side of the field and Jalen Hurts on the other side; there is a good chance for a shootout. Bet the OVER 48.5 here.

NFL Week 2 O/U Pick: OVER 8.5 | Bet Vikings at Eagles
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total

Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

O/U Total: 43.5
Sunday, September 17th, 2023at 1:00 p.m. | NBC
Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL

The Chicago Bears defense was pretty miserable in the Week One loss to the Green Bay Packers. Now, the Bears will have to go on the road to Tampa and take on Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers kept a low-scoring game but had opportunities as well.

Look for Justin Fields to get his offense back on track while Baker Mayfield gets more connected with Evans and Godwin. Take the OVER 43.5 in this game on Sunday.

NFL Week 2 O/U Pick: OVER 43.5 | Bet Bears at Buccaneers
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total

Los Angeles Chargers at Tennessee Titans

O/U Total: 45.5
Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. | CBS
Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN

The Chargers lost in the highest-scoring game of the week. There is no doubt that the Titans are going to do their best to limit Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, and Austin Ekeler, but that’s a lot to slow down.

The Titans use their run game to keep the ball moving and get it in the end zone, while the Chargers use their athletes. 45.5 points is not enough here. The winner in this game gets to 30. Bet the OVER 45.5 on Sunday.

NFL Week 2 O/U Pick: OVER 45.5 | Bet Chargers at Titans
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

O/U Total: 46.5
Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. | CBS
Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH

The Ravens are 1-0 after their win, while the Bengals are 0-1. Something is not right with Joe Burrow and his Bengals offense.

Conversely, the Ravens will do their best to keep the ball on the ground and the clock moving. This game looks to move towards the UNDER 46 points. A final score prediction of something like 24-17 in this game seems right.

NFL Week 2 O/U Pick: UNDER 46.5 | Bet Ravens at Bengals
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots | Sunday Night Football

O/U Total: 45.5
Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at 8:20 p.m. | NBC
Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA

Tua and the Miami Dolphins offense was one of the highest-scoring teams in the National Football League for Week 1.

The quarterback threw for over 460 yards in the game, while 215 went to Tyreke Hill. The Patriots are going to have a tough time stopping them. They slowed down Jalen Hurts, but now a different offense is coming.

Look for Miami to get to 30 in this game again and win, so it makes sense to go OVER. 31-17 Dolphins over the Patriots seems to be a good bet for OVER.

NFL Week 2 O/U Pick: OVER 45.5 | Bet Dolphins at Patriots
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Total

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers | Monday Night Football

O/U Total: 42.5
Monday, September 18th, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. | ABC, ESPN+
Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA

There is no doubt that Mike Tomlin and his Pittsburgh Steelers will want to even the division up with a home win. The Cleveland Browns defense appeared to be one of the best in the league after Week 1.

This game is going to be a slugfest, and do not be surprised if neither team gets into 20+ points. Bet the UNDER 42.5 here on Monday Night Football.

NFL Week 2 O/U Pick: UNDER 42.5 | Bet Browns at Steelers

Previous Betting News

We have a long way to go before we see the National Champions crowned at the end of this season, but there are a few teams who made a big statement in the opening week of the season. Perhaps the biggest statement of all was the one that the Georgia Bulldogs made, as they absolutely destroyed a ranked Oregon Ducks team to show that taking their title is not going to be easy. We also saw a couple of teams survive tough tests in Week 1, with Ohio State not at their best but still managing to pull out the win over Notre Dame. The big shots basically all started with a win, but will that carry over into Week 2 of the season? That remains to be seen, but for now, we are going to make a few O/U picks for Week 2 of the college football season. Let’s get right to it so you can go ahead and place your bets against the NCAAF Odds.

NCAAF Week 2 O/U Betting Picks | 2022 College Football Analysis

Alabama Crimson Tide at Texas Longhorns – OVER 61 ½

There are going to be a lot of fans who look at this game as a preview of sorts, with the Texas Longhorns set to make the jump from the Big 12 to the SEC. This matchup will give them some idea of what they are going to be up against in the near future, while also giving the Longhorns a look at how much work needs to be done to be competitive in the strongest conference in college football. Both teams opened the season with dominating wins, but those were both games that Alabama and Texas were expected to win. While each team is trending toward the UNDER of late, there are signs that this one might go OVER. 5 of the last 6 that Alabama has played versus the Big 12 have gone OVER, while the same is true with Texas, who has seen 8 of their last 12 versus the SEC go OVER.

Washington State Cougars at Wisconsin Badgers – UNDER 46 ½

Here is another game where we have both teams coming in at 1-0 after wins in Week 1. Washington State beat Idaho 24-17, with the point total on that one going UNDER. We had the Wisconsin Badgers cruise to victory in their season opening, winning 38-0 and seeing the point total also go UNDER. The last meeting between these teams was a higher scoring affair, but I think we get back to more of a defensive battle here. Washing State has now seen 5 of their last 6 games played in the month of September go UNDER, while 10 of the last 14 games that Wisconsin has played at home on a Saturday have also gone UNDER.

Kansas Jayhawks at West Virginia Mountaineers – OVER 57 ½

Kansas opened their season with a blowout win over Tennessee Tech, covering the spread and seeing the point total go OVER in the process. West Virginia got into a bit of a slugfest with the Pitt Panthers, losing 38-31 in what was a hotly contested matchup. That all means that Kansas has now seen 14 of their last 20 games go OVER, while also seeing 11 of their last 16 versus the Big 12 go the same route. 5 of the last 6 meetings between these two teams have gone OVER, while the Mountaineers have seen 12 of their last 18 games starting as a favorite go that route too.

2020 NFL Betting Analysis – Week 2 O/U Picks

Previous Betting News

Given that there were no preseason games in which to shake off the rust and iron out the kinks, the belief among many NFL fans was that we would be served some sloppy football this weekend. That did not prove to be the case, though, as the quality of play was high. That’s very good news indeed, as it means that we are likely to see things get even better as the season progresses. For the teams that lost in Week 1, this week is all about not falling into an 0-2 hole. History has shown that climbing out of that and making the playoffs is tough, although with an extra playoff spot in each conference this year, it might not be as damaging as before. We are looking at the Week 2 games from every angle and have come up with some O/U picks for the weekend that you can wager on and place your bets against their NFL odds. We will also have SU and ATS picks coming your way, so be sure to watch out for those.

2020 NFL Odds for Week 2 Over/Under Total Picks to Bet On

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys (OVER 52 ½)

Both of these teams are looking to avoid the dreaded 0-2 hole after losing in the opening weekend. The Falcons, and Matt Ryan in particular, put up a ton of offense in Week 1, but still ended up losing 38-25 to the Seattle Seahawks. They have now seen 5 of their last 6 games versus teams from the NFC go OVER the point total. The Dallas Cowboys looked solid offensively at the start of their game against the LA Rams, but it did not last, as they ended up falling 20-17 to the Rams. That was odd for a team that has seen 13 of their last 20 games go OVER. The OVER has hit in 6 of the last 7 meetings between these teams in Dallas, so it seems like a good bet here.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OVER 48 ½)

Counting the games played last season, the Carolina Panthers are now on a 9-game losing skid. They dropped 30 points on the Las Vegas Raiders at home and still managed to come out on the losing end of things. With that result, they have now seen 6 of their last 7 games go the way of the OVER. They have also seen the OVER hit in each of their last 5 games versus a conference foe. A lot of people are overreacting after seeing Tom Brady and the Bucs struggle in a Week 1 loss to the Saints, but I still think this team will come good. They have seen the OVER hit in 10 of their last 13 games, while also seeing the same in each of their last 10 conference games.

Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans (OVER 51 ½)

The Baltimore Ravens ended last regular season with the best record in football, but they ended the year on a sour note after getting bounced in the opening round of the playoffs. They came out in Week 1 and looked just like the team from last regular season, dominating the Cleveland Browns from start to finish. They will face a Texans team that is sure to still be reeling after getting thumped by the Kansas City Chiefs in the opening week. This is a brutal schedule for them. 4 of the last 5 meetings between these teams in Houston have gone OVER.

I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
