We have 3 games picked out for this weekend, so let’s jump right in and take a closer look at our NCAAF O/U Picks in Week 5 | MyBookie Sportsbook | 2023 College Football Betting | Regular Season: August 26 to December 9 | Week 5: Thursday, September 28 to Saturday, September 30, 2023
College Football Odds Week 5 | |
Buffalo at Akron | UNDER 55 ½ |
Baylor at UCF | OVER 55 |
South Carolina at #21 Tennessee | OVER 63 ½ |
It may seem hard to believe but we are already one full month into the college football season, and you have to say that the rankings look a little different than expected. Yes, Georgia continues to win and stay in the #1 spot, but the likes of Clemson and Alabama, who are perennial playoff contenders, are already on the rocks. It has been a season filled with surprises, which is why so many of us love this sport and the challenge that it brings when it comes time to start placing wagers. As we look forward to Week 5, we are once again going to try and see if we can come up with some winners with the point total.
Buffalo Bulls at Akron Zips
NCAA Football Pick: UNDER 55 ½
When: Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 12:00pm ET
Where: InfoCision Stadium, Akron, OH
TV: ESPN+
This is certainly not the most glamorous matchup on the Week 5 schedule, but it’s one where I think we have an opportunity to make some money. These teams are a combined 1-7 on the season, and while the Bulls have very much been trending OVER of late, things are very different when they go up against Akron. In fact, 5 of their last 7 visits to Akron have ended with the point total falling UNDER. It seems to be the same story wherever these two teams meet, with 5 of their last 6 meetings overall going UNDER. That is very much the trend for the Zips overall, with 3 of their 4 games this season also going UNDER the point total.

Baylor Bears at UCF Knights
NCAA Football Pick: OVER 55
When: Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 3:30pm ET
Where: FBC Mortgage Stadium, Orlando, FL
TV: FS1
These are a pair of teams heading in very different directions at the moment. The Bears have been poor this season and come into this weekend sitting at 1-3, while the Knights have put together a 3-1 record, although they will be looking to bounce back after taking their first loss of the season last weekend. If there is one thing that these two have in common, it’s that there has been a ton of offense in their games this season. The Baylor Bears have seen each of their last 5 road games go OVER the point total, while the OVER has hit in 5 of the last 7 overall for UCF. The Knights have also seen the OVER hit in 10 of their last 15 games played in the month of September.

South Carolina Gamecocks at #21 Tennessee Volunteers
NCAA Football Pick: OVER 63 ½
When: Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 7:30pm ET
Where: Neyland Stadium, Knoxville, TN
TV: SEC Network
The general consensus was that if anyone as going to give the Georgia Bulldogs a run for their money on the SEC East, it was going to be the Tennessee Volunteers. They might still do that, given that they have to face the Dawgs later this season, but the Vols are in a bit of a conference hole after losing to Florida earlier this season. They cannot afford another conference loss, so expect them to come out in this one with the pedal to the metal. The Volunteers have seen the OVER hit in 8 of their last 12 games versus teams from the SEC East, while the Gamecocks have seen the OVER hit in 5 of their last 7 games overall. I think we get a ton of offense and the OVER in this one.
