The 2024 college football season is now only a bit more than a month away with the first game of the season featuring Florida State against Georgia Tech from Dublin, Ireland on Aug. 24.
Here is an over/under wins total pick for one big-name team this season from the ACC, Big Ten and SEC.
Miami Hurricanes Over/Under Win Totals 9
The Hurricanes have largely disappointed under third-year coach and former UM offensive lineman Mario Cristobal.
He has recruited well but made some really curious in-game choices.
The Canes finished 5-7 in his first season and improved to 7-6 last year but the Hurricanes probably should have won at least eight games if not nine.
For example, Miami somehow lost 23-20 at home to Georgia Tech when all the Canes needed to do late in the fourth quarter with less than a minute remaining.
Instead, Miami called a running play that led to a fumble and Georgia Tech recovering.
Haynes King threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Christian Leary with two seconds remaining for the stunning win.
Said Georgia Tech coach Brent Key: “We kind of thought they were taking a knee.”
Cristobal welcomes another really good recruiting class and also two of the top transfers of the offseason in former Washington State QB Cam Ward and former Oregon State running back Damien Martinez.
Last season for the Beavers, Martinez rushed for 1,185 yards and nine TDs as a sophomore.
Miami averaged 173 rushing yards on the ground per game last year — good for 45th in the country. But the Canes had only two runs of 40 yards or more.
Last season, Martinez had four such runs by himself. Ward originally declared for the NFL Draft but changed his mind.
In the past two seasons at Wazzu, Ward threw for nearly 7,000 yards and 48 touchdowns.

Ohio State Buckeyes Over/Under Win Totals 10.5
Despite an incredible amount of success at Ohio State, Coach Ryan Day might be fired after this year if the Buckeyes lose yet again to Michigan.
I don’t believe that happens, though, as the defending national champion Wolverines lost a lot of talent to the NFL plus head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Plus, this year’s game is in Columbus.
The Buckeyes finished 11-1 last regular season with that only loss at Michigan. Then OSU slept through a 14-3 loss to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl.
All-American receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is gone but OSU got a huge break when fellow star WR Emeka Egbuka said he could come back.
He had 41 catches for 515 yards and four touchdowns last season despite battling injuries.
His return will give new quarterback Will Howard a trusted option outside as Howard adjusts to the Buckeyes after transferring from Kansas State.
Howard is much more of a dual-threat than his predecessor, Kyle McCord, with nearly 3,000 yards of total offense and 30 touchdowns accounted for in 2023.
The Big Ten’s leading rusher (TreVeyon Henderson) also returns along with four starting offensive linemen. Day also lured star RB Quinshon Judkins from Ole Miss and safety Caleb Downs from Alabama in the portal.
Yet his best move could have been getting UCLA head coach Chip Kelly to take a step down from that job to be OSU’s offensive coordinator.
The only two games I think Ohio State has a shot of losing are at Penn State and at Oregon and I don’t believe it will lose both. Maybe not either.
NCAAF Pick: Over 10.5 wins |
Texas Longhorns Over/Under Win Totals 10.5
The Longhorns are set for their first season in the SEC and have one of the nation’s top returning quarterbacks and a leading Heisman candidate in Quinn Ewers – and if he struggles, UT has an even more-hyped prospect behind him in Arch Manning, who for some reason didn’t transfer out when Ewers decided to return to Austin.
Last season in leading Texas to the College Football Playoff, Ewers played in and started 12 games.
He completed 272-of-394 passes (69.0 %) for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions and rushed 59 times for 75 yards and five touchdowns.
His passing yards were the fifth-most in a season in UT history and completions ranked sixth.
Even before Texas entered the conference, Coach Steve Sarkisian sought to build a team that could compete with the best of the SEC.
This past season, Sarkisian was named a finalist for the Bear Bryant.
George Munger and Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Awards after leading the Longhorns to their first Big 12 Championship.
Since 2009, winning 12 games for the first time since that season and reaching the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.
The 12 wins marked just the fourth time in school history that the Longhorns had 12 or more victories in a season.
He was also tabbed the Big 12 Coach of the Year by The Associated Press.
Texas earned a No. 3 final ranking in The Associated Press Poll, its highest finish in 15 years since earning the No. 2 spot in 2009.
The Longhorns were one of only five Power-5 programs that ranked among the top 15 in scoring offense (35.8 ppg) and scoring defense (18.9 ppg), finishing 15th nationally in both.
While I think Texas has a great roster, it has a really tough schedule with trips to Michigan and Texas A&M, the annual Red River Rivalry game in Dallas vs. Oklahoma and home games vs. Georgia and Florida.

2024 Over Under Total Bets, April 29
The 2024 College Football Season is around the corner. Preparation for the new season has already begun while games officially begin on August 24. Right now, Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas are the teams many feel have the best chances of winning more than their total. When it comes to win totals, we want to play a mix of over and under. Taking a swing on decent payout plays is never a terrible thing.
See below for college football odds, analysis, and picks for ten over/under win totals for the 2024 NCAA College Football Season.

2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season | 155th season of college football in the United States
August 24, 2024 – December 14, 2024
Best Over Under Total Bets for the College Football Season
Florida State Over 9.5 +120
Florida State has a couple of tough games, at SMU and at Notre Dame, but the Seminoles have talent on both sides of the ball. Another undefeated season is possible.
Arizona Over 8.5 +138
At BYU, at UCF, and at TCU won’t be easy. Also, Kansas State is an early road game that could hamper Zona’s Big 12 title dreams. Still, the Cats are loaded on both sides of the ball. So 9 wins is more than probable.
Alabama Under 9.5 -138
Bama must travel to Wisconsin, then takes on Georgia, and then must go to Tennessee and LSU this season. At Oklahoma and the Iron Bowl against Auburn also aren’t locks.
The most important thing to consider about Bama is the fact the defense took a massive hit when Caleb Downs decided to head to Columbus to play for Ron Day and Ohio State. Downs is the best defensive back in the nation.
Ohio State Over 10.5 -150
The Buckeyes should go undefeated during the regular season. At Oregon is the only danger and even then, Ohio State can hang with the Ducks.
Adding Downs is massive. The Buckeyes’ defense is a different squad with Caleb Downs playing free safety. Ron Day made a point of building a top squad, one that can win the National Championship. He’s done it. Chip Kelly running the offense is huge and Will Howard is a legit Heisman Trophy contender.
Georgia Over 10.5 -134
Like Ohio State, the Georgia Bulldogs have a real shot of going undefeated during the regular season. UGA hosts Alabama. The Georgia defense will stop Jalen Milroe and Bama’s offense. At Texas is a big game but Georgia is better than the Longhorns.
Carson Beck and the offense will better this college football season than last because Beck has a year under center. The defense should be the best unit in football. Jim Harbaugh bounced from Michigan to the NFL to coach the Chargers, which makes Kirby Smart’s D the top unit in NCAAF.
Texas Under 10.5 -152
Buzz is building around Texas. However, Quinn Ewers is without his top two receiving targets from last season. Not only that, but the Horns must play a solid SEC schedule that includes Georgia, Kentucky, Texas A&M, and Arkansas. Michigan is also on the schedule.
Louisville Over 8.5 -114
At Notre Dame, at Clemson, and at Kentucky are the three toughest games. Louisville could lose all three and still win 9. So the odds favor the Cardinals to get it done. Not only that, but in his second season, coach Jeff Brohm will have his players ready to be even more effective.
LSU Under 9.5 -110
Bama, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and USC are on LSU’s schedule this season. The Tigers will be a good team, but, wow, that’s a lot of quality teams. More importantly, LSU is replacing their top two wide receivers and Jayden Daniels, the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner.
USC Over 7.5 +100
Speaking of the Trojans, Lincoln Riley’s squad is due for a massive bounce back from last season’s disappointment. Don’t get it wrong. The schedule is loaded with games against LSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Washington, and Notre Dame.
But USC has overhauled their defense and the offense will rock. Give the Trojans a big chance to win at least 9 games.
Oregon Over 10.5 +100
In their first season in the Big Ten, the Ducks lose to Ohio State on October 12 and that’s it. Oregon rolls through the conference to finish in second place behind the Buckeyes and secure a College Football Playoff spot. Then, who knows? Maybe, the Ducks win it all.

Best Over/Under Win Total Bets for 2023 College Football Season
Previous Betting News
Hard as it may seem to believe, we are only a couple of months away from the start of the college football season. Things are set to change after this season, with conference realignment and a new playoff setup coming, but it will be business as usual for the 2023 season.
With the transfer portal and teams retooling after the NFL Draft , you never really know what you are going to get from any team until the season starts and we see everyone in action, but we can still make some predictions now, although the odds that are on the board at the moment may well change dramatically once the season begins.
For the purposes of this piece, we are going to look at 4 win NCAAF total bets that we like for this season, so let’s jump right in.
Best Over/Under Win Total Bets for the 2023 College Football Season | MyBookie NCAAF Betting Preview
2023 NCAA Division I FBS season | 154th season of college football in the United States
August 26, 2023–December 9, 2023
Georgia Bulldogs | Over 11½
The expectation now in Athens is that it’s a National Championship or bust for Kirby Smart’s team. The Dawgs have won back-to-back championships and come into this season looking for the three-peat. There will be, as expected, a lot of new personnel on the field, with Georgia once again sending a ton of talent to the NFL. It was the same story last year, and we all know how that turned out, so don’t expect too much of a slide from the champs. In fact, I think they could well deliver another unbeaten regular season, although whether that also adds up to another Natty remains to be seen.
Over/Under Total Pick | Bet Georgia Win Total Over 11½
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Championship
Stanford Cardinal | Under 3
The Cardinal will start the year with a new coaching staff in place, with Troy Taylor the man taking the reins as the new head coach. He has some work on his hands, with the Cardinal losing a ton of players to the transfer portal. Taylor is now tasked with essentially building this team from the ground up, which is not something that can be done with a single recruiting class. He is going to need some time to turn this ship around, so expect Year 1 to be something of a struggle, which I think ends with the Cardinal having less than 3 wins.
Over/Under Total Pick | Bet Stanford Win Total Under 3
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Championship
Auburn Tigers | Over 6½
We have another coaching change here, with Bryan Harsin out in favor of Hugh Freeze. This team has been on the skid since winning the National Championship and sending Joe Burrow to the NFL, but I have a feeling that we will see an uptick this year with Freeze at the helm. The head coach has made a habit of turning things around rather quickly in his previous gigs, and I really believe he can do the same for the Auburn Tigers. I’m not suggesting he will have them challenging for the SEC, but he should get them to 7 or 8 wins this season.
Over/Under Total Pick | Bet Auburn Win Total Over 6½
MyBookie Betting Lines for the Championship
Colorado Buffaloes | Under 3½
One of the more intriguing storylines this coming season has to be taking place in Colorado, where Deion Sanders will be taking over as head coach of the Buffaloes. He has gone crazy in the transfer portal as he looks to turn this team into a contender, but with so many new pieces in place, the question is about how quickly this team can gel. I don’t think it happens in Year 1, for Sanders, as I think 2023 could be a long season.
Over/Under Total Pick | Bet Colorado Win Total Under 3½
