For every team in a Power 5 Conference, the goal is to win when the big games come against conference foes. Some choose to jump into the fire right away, while others schedule a bunch of non-conference games against lesser opponents with the hopes of building some confidence and getting into a rhythm before those bigger challenges arrive. The latter approach is what the Oregon Ducks are taking this season, as they are starting out with a trio of non-conference games before getting into PAC 12 action against Stanford in a few weeks.
