The Golden Gophers will need a full overhaul of their mentality on both ends of the field after being whitewashed 27-0 by the Northwestern Wildcats in Week 5. Minnesota will be banking on Mitch Leidner, whose season’s stats are at four touchdowns and three interceptions, to lead the recovery. Leidner has a touchdown pass in five of the last 10 games he has played in, and will direly need to get his groove back after failing to lead his offense to any scoring drive last week. The fact that the Gophers will go into this match without DB Briean Boddy-Calhoun (knee injury) means that the rest of the defense will need to come up big and fill in for their missing star.
