There is always a certain level of unpredictability in college football, which is why we see upsets happen on a fairly regular basis. With players and teams battling COVID off the field, as well as other teams on it, a new wrinkle has been added into the season. The Clemson Tigers, who were forced to play without Trevor Lawrence under center, almost fell to Boston College in Week 9. They will once again be without their starter, thanks to COVID, once again this weekend when they face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Might we well see a changing of the guard in the top 4 after Week 10 is said and done. We will need to wait and see, but for now, we can start to make some picks for the coming week, starting with some selections against the spread. Let’s get right to it so you can make your bets against their NCAAF odds.
NCAAF ATS Picks for Week 10 | College Football Betting
Kansas Jayhawks at Oklahoma Sooners (-38)
It is hard to express just how bad the Kansas Jayhawks have been of late. Just looking at their last 10 games is enough to give you some insight into how grim things have been. They have gone winless in that stretch and have been routinely blown out in the process. The spread here is one that would normally have me looking for another pick, but I think we are looking at a total hammering here. Let’s start with the fact that the Jayhawks have failed to cover in each of their last 7 games, going 0-6-1 ATS during that stretch. They are also 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games played in Week 10 of the season. Oklahoma, who are 4-2 ATS in their last 6, have not been a great ATS pick, but I think they win this one going away, covering in the process.
Houston Cougars at Cincinnati Bearcats (-13 ½)
They are not making very many headlines, but people had better start paying attention to the Cincinnati Bearcats, who are coming into this weekend with a perfect 5-0 record. The Bearcats are now ranked at #6 in the nation and look like a very good bet to continue their winning streak this weekend versus the Houston Cougars. The Cougars are 2-2 on the season and come into this game on the heels of a thumping at the hands of the UCF Knights. In their last 5 games playing as the underdog, Houston has managed to cover the spread just once. They are also just 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings with Cincinnati. The Bearcats are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games, so I am on them to cover again in this one.
Louisville Cardinals at Virginia Cavaliers (-2 ½)
I very nearly went with this game in my straight up selection for the week, but there are some bigger games on the schedule that I wanted to hit. This is still a pretty decent bet, though, as I like Virginia to get the win at home, and since they are a rather modest favorite coming into this one, it makes sense that I would also like them to cover. Virginia has proven to be a very decent bet against the spread despite the fact that they have been struggling to get wins. They have covered in 5 of their last 7 games, and are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 meetings with Louisville.
