10 Utah Utes at 19 Oregon State Beavers

SU Odds: Utah +137
Friday, September 29th, 2023 at 9:00 pm | FS1
Reser Stadium, Corvallis, OR

Cm Rising should play in this game. But even if Rising doesn’t, Utah is the more complete team on both sides of the ball.

To be fair, Oregon State’s D is fantastic. However, D.J. Uagalelei doesn’t always make the best decision. On Friday, D.J. faces one of the top defenses in the nation. So Oregon State is in danger of losing a second straight game.

College Football Week 5 SU Pick: Utah +137 | Bet Utah at Oregon State

1 Georgia Bulldogs at Auburn Tigers

SU Odds: Auburn +490
Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 3:30 pm | CBS
Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn, AL

Picking against Georgia has been a recipe for disaster. But Georgia isn’t the same team that won back-to-back National Championship.

The Bulldogs are undefeated but struggled in a game against South Carolina at home, beating the Gamecocks 24-14 in a contest that could have gone SC’s way. Auburn coach Hugh Freeze will come up with a game plan that gets the Tigers into the end zone.

We don’t have faith that Carson Beck rallies the Dawgs the way Stetson Bennett did. UGA falls.

College Football Week 5 SU Pick: Auburn +490 | Bet Georgia at Auburn

Clemson Tigers at Syracuse Orange

SU Odds: Syracuse +202
Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 12:00 pm | ABC
JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse, NY

Clemson should suffer the after effects of getting oh so close to knocking off 4 Florida State only to lose in overtime. In addition, this is a rivalry game.

Syracuse and Clemson always play tight matchups. And Syracuse, although they haven’t come close to playing a team as talented as Clemson, is 4-0 with impressive wins against Colgate, Western Michigan, Purdue, and Army.

College Football Week 5 SU Pick: Syracuse +202 | Bet Clemson at Syracuse

8 USC Trojans at Colorado Buffalos

SU Odds: Colorado +840
Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 12:00 pm | FOX
Folsom Field, Boulder, CO

So far, USC has beaten San Jose State, Nevada, Stanford, and Arizona State. Colorado is the first real team the Trojans have faced.

For sure, Colorado struggled against Oregon. The Buffs did nothing well. But Coach Prime knows what he’s doing. So Deion will have a strategy that keeps the Buffalos in this contest.

Also, USC gave up 28 points to Arizona State. Don’t think for a moment Coach Prime isn’t going to find a way for Shedeur to get Colorado’s offense going.

College Football Week 5 SU Pick: Colorado +840 | Bet USC at Colorado

13 LSU Tigers at 20 Ole Miss Rebels

SU Odds: Ole Miss +116
Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 6:00 pm | ESPN
Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, MS

LSU followed up a fantastic victory over Mississippi State with an almost road loss to Arkansas. The Hogs exposed LSU’s major flaw, pass defense.

K.J. Jefferson, the Hogs’ QB, threw for 289 yards and 3 TDs. Jefferson also tossed a couple of interceptions, but K.J.’s yard per catch was a crazy 13.8. Lane Kiffin will set up a strategy to make Jaxson Dart look like the greatest QB in Ole Miss history, Archie Manning.

College Football Week 5 SU Pick: Ole Miss +116 | Bet LSU at Ole Miss

11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 17 Duke Blue Devils

SU Odds: Duke +182
Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 7:30 pm | SEC
Wallace Wade Stadium, Durham, NC

The Fighting Irish have no excuse for losing to Ohio State. On the last play, Notre Dame had 10 guys on the field. More importantly, in the play before, the Irish, somehow, allowed Ohio State to complete a pass to the 1-yard line.

Duke is one of the most efficient, and well-coached teams in the nation. The Blue Devils’ D has allowed no more than 14 points this season and that was in 1-game. QB Ryan Leonard doesn’t force the ball. The offense is balanced and this happen on Duke’s grass. Blue Devils should be the chalk.

College Football Week 5 SU Pick: Duke +182 | Bet Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Duke

South Carolina Gamecocks at 21 Tennessee Volunteers

SU Odds: South Carolina +340
Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 7:30 pm | SEC
Neyland Stadium, Knoxville, TN

Beating the Vols at Old Rocky Top is never easy. However, the South Carolina Gamecocks are a solid football team.

Although they’re just 2-2, both losses came versus quality opponents. The first was against North Carolina. The second happened versus 1-Georgia on the road. The Georgia loss happened by 10 points. So we know the Gamecocks can play. Don’t be surprised if Spencer Rattler carves up the Vols D like he did last season.

College Football Week 5 SU Pick: South Carolina +340 | Bet South Carolina at Tennessee
