Why Bet On No. 11 Central Florida?

Why should you bet on Central Florida? Well damn, there are a ton of great reasons! Let’s see…the Knights have one of the best offense in the nation and they’re the better team on the defensive side of the ball as well. In addition to those two reasons, Central Florida also has the best player in this matchup on their roster in star quarterback McKenzie Milton.

UCF also has a ton of motivation to stay unbeaten and keep their longshot College Football Playoff hopes alive, although it’s still highly unlikely it will happen. Still, Central Florida is hot and they keep finding ways to win no matter who they’re playing. The Knights spanked one-loss, 19th-ranked Cincinnati 38-13 last weekend in a game they dominated from start to finish. Milton passed for 268 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for another to lead the unbeaten Knights to the easy win in their nationally-televised showdown.

“It’s been a long time coming, a game of this magnitude,” Milton said.

“The whole weekend was a great opportunity for us to introduce ourselves,” UCF head coach Josh Heupel added. “I think it’s the first chance some people have had to see our university, see the great players we have, the passion of our fans and the atmosphere in our stadium. … I hope they like what they saw.”

Why Bet On South Florida?

Is USF a safe bet for NCAA Football Week 13?

Why should you bet on South Florida to get the big upset? Well, they have a good program, they’re playing at home – and completely desperate.

After getting off to a fantastic 7-0 start, the Bulls have dropped four straight including their 27-17 loss to temple last weekend. The Bulls led 17-0 at the half but got shut out from that point while temple scored 17 fourth quarter points to get the comeback win. While running back Jordan Cronkite rushed for two scores, quarterback Blake Barnett completed 14 of 23 passes for just 82 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss.

Expert Analysis and Prediction

Look, let me just get my anger out of the way real quick by saying that it’s a damned shame that UCF isn’t getting some real recognition as a legitimate CFP contender, but all they can do is control their own schedule. Having said that, I’m going to advise you to back the Knights to win and cover the chalk as a two-touchdown road favorite, seeing as how they are simply better than the Bulls on both sides of the ball and particularly on offense.

While the South Florida averages a respectable 30.9 points per game this season, they are also giving up an eerily identical amount defensively. Central Florida ranks sixth nationally in scoring (43.6 ppg) while also ranking an encouraging 22nd in points allowed defensively (20.4 ppg).

The Knights are a nearly perfect 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall. On the flip side of the coin, Bulls are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. UCF wins and cashes in as a double-digit favorite despite being on the road. Now, take that College Football Playoff selection committee!
