Why Bet On USC at +10?
The Trojans are looking like a team that could very well cover the spread after they pulled off a huge, 30-23 upset win over now, No. 19 Utah last weekend. Quarterback Matt Fink came up big by passing for 351 yards with three touchdowns and one interception after replacing injured starter Keldon Slovis. USC is averaging a solid 33.2 points per game (51st) while allowing 24.0 points per contest defensively (57th). Safety Taianoa Hufanga has been all over the field this season and lead the Trojans with 42 tackles, including 26 solo tackles.

The Huskies are looking good after exploding on Hawaii and BYU the last two weeks following their Week 2 upset loss at home against Cal. USC vs Washington Expert Analysis and Prediction
While USC has won two of the last three meetings and the road team has won three straight in this Pac-12 rivalry, I’m going to say that Washington is the pick to take care of business in this year’s Week 5 matchup. However, I do like USC to cover the chalk as a 10-point road dog., seeing as how each of their last three losses to Washington have come by five points or less. I know the Trojans are an awful 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 road games and 8-19-1 ATS in their last 28 games overall, but Washington is just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 conference games while the underdog in this series has gone 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Again, I like the Huskies to get the win, but I’m expecting this one to be a knock-down, drag-out affair that ends up being a lot closer than the double-digit spread.
Pick: Washington 28 USC 23
