Why Bet On The Vanderbilt Commodores?

Why should you bet on Vanderbilt in this contest? Because they’re getting almost four touchdowns and the Commodores are clearly, not awful. The best reason to best on Vanderbilt is that they are getting a whopping 26.5 points in this matchup. The Commodores beat FCS Tennessee State 31-27 last weekend, but they never came close to covering the spread as 28.5-point home favorites. Quarterback Kyle Shurmur went 22 for 29 for 297 yards and three touchdowns, but he also tossed two costly interceptions that out Vandy’s win in serious jeopardy.  Running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn rushed for 146 yards and one score on 17 carries. “We missed opportunities in the red zone,” Mason said. “We were so inconsistent today. I told the guys we aren’t playing right but you must be living right.” Vanderbilt is averaging 27.6 points per game this season and allowing 20.6 per contest defensively.

Why Bet On The Georgia Bulldogs?

Is Georgia a safe bet for NCAA Football Week 6? Why should you bet on the Dawgs in this Week 6 SEC showdown? Because they’re playing at home and better than Vanderbilt in all three phases of the game. There are a few reasons why Georgia looks like an attractive wager in this matchup. First, the Bulldogs are playing at home. Georgia is also superior to Vanderbilt on both sides of the ball and they’re likely to be locked in to avoid an upset and keep their championship hopes fully intact. Georgia beat Tennessee senseless in their 28-12 win last weekend despite failing to cover the chalk as a 30.5-point home favorite. For the season, sophomore quarterback Jake Fromm is completing a blistering 72.5 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and two interceptions. Georgia is averaging 43.2 points per game while limiting the opposition to just 13.0 points per game defensively.

Expert Analysis and Prediction for Vanderbilt at Georgia

Okay, let me get started by saying that there’s no way Georgia manages to lose this game outright. Having said that, I also don’t like the Bulldogs to cover the big spread, mostly because they had a similar matchup and similar odds against Tennessee just last weekend. I know Vanderbilt has gone an awful 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 conference matchups and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games in the month of October and that Georgia is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record, but I’m thinking this is a ‘trap’ line that is going to reel in the 53 percent of public bettors that like the Dawgs to win and cash in. Georgia wins, but the ATS cover goes to Vanderbilt. NCAA Football Week 6 Pick: Georgia 38 Vanderbilt 17
