Week 1 of the 2022 College Football season will be here before we know it. Week 1 is loaded with some very good games. The oddsmakers have provided spreads for most of the Week 1 games. In looking at these spreads, we’ve found a couple that we can’t believe. Let’s take a look at those games and we’ll analyze why we think the oddsmakers are wrong, and we’ll give you our NCAAF Betting advice on how to bet on those games.
2022 Week 1 College Football Spreads That We Can’t Believe and You Shouldn’t Miss
Cincinnati Bearcats @ Arkansas Razorbacks (-7)
Sam Pittman has done a phenomenal job of rebuilding the Arkansas program. He has turned them into one of the upper-echelon teams in the SEC. The Razorbacks will have their work cut out for them, as they host the Cincinnati Bearcats in their season opener. Cincinnati is coming off of a College Football Playoff appearance.
Arkansas is predicted to finish right behind Alabama in the SEC West. Quarterback KJ Jefferson returns to run the offense. Arkansas had done well in getting numerous transfers through the transfer portal. Coming off of a successful 2021 season, the Razorbacks will come into the 2022 campaign full of confidence, and should be ready to start the 2022 season off with a bang.
As for the Cincinnati Bearcats, we know that they are coming off of a final four appearance. Luke Fickell has built the Bearcats into one of, if not the top team not in a Power 5 conference. The Bearcats lost some key pieces from last year’s team, including Sauce Gardner and Desmond Ridder. Cincinnati should still have a good squad, but this team won’t be as strong as last year’s team.
We’re very surprised that Arkansas is only favored by seven points. With the talented team that they have, we figured that they would be favored by at least 10. Cincinnati will have a chip on its shoulder and will want to prove to everyone that their program is for real. However, they will struggle to keep up with an SEC team.
We like the Razorbacks to win this one by at least 14 points.
Clemson Tigers (-19) @ Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Clemson starts the season off in a conference battle with Georgia Tech. Last season, Clemson only beat Tech by a score of 14-8, signifying Clemson’s struggles last season. After a poor 2021 season, Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is looking to prove to his critics that he is a pro prospect, and he can lead Clemson to an ACC championship.
Even though this will be a prime time matchup in Atlanta, we just can’t see the Yellow Jackets hanging with Clemson. Georgia Tech is on the rise, but they’re not near the standards of Clemson as of yet. They’ll be a formidable opponent, but they won’t be on Clemson’s level. The Tigers are out to prove that last year was a fluke, and they’re truly the class of the ACC.
We like Clemson to win this one by at least three touchdowns. Clemson wins this one big, 34-7, and shows everyone that they mean business this season.
