The Buckeyes are way more talented than Iowa, although this could be a bit of a letdown game after this past Saturday’s thrilling 39-38 win over then-No. 2 Penn State that puts OSU right back in the College Football Playoff discussion and it now controls its own destiny to play in the Big Ten title game. J.T. Barrett was sensational in the victory and is back in the Heisman race. He capped the greatest game of his decorated career with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Baugh with 1:48 left in the fourth quarter and Ohio State rallied from 11 down in the final five minutes to hand the Nittany Lions their first loss. Barrett was near flawless, going 33 for 39 for 328 yards and four touchdown passes, three in the fourth quarter after the Buckeyes (7-1, 5-0 Big Ten) were down 35-20. Barrett set a school record with 423 yards of total offense, topping Art Schlichter’s previous best of 412 against Florida State in 1981. The Buckeyes eclipsed the 500-yard mark of total offense for the sixth-consecutive game, extending the longest streak in program history. Ohio State came back from two separate 18-point deficits, marking the largest deficit overcome by an Urban Meyer-coached team. The previous largest deficit overcome was against No. 1 Alabama in the 2015 Sugar Bowl when the Buckeyes trailed 21-6 in the second quarter and won 42-35.Why Bet On Iowa?
The Hawkeyes (5-3) beat Minnesota 17-10 on Saturday. The Hawkeyes used touchdown drives on their opening possessions of both halves and got a fourth-quarter field goal from Miguel Recinos and it was enough. Iowa outgained Minnesota, 315-281, but it was in control throughout. Sophomore Nate Stanley completed 15-of-27 passes for 190 yards with one touchdown, while seniors Akrum Wadley (70 yards) and James Butler (28) combined to rush for 98 yards and one touchdown. Iowa had 125 rushing yards on 33 attempts. Iowa’s defense forced nine Minnesota punts, had a turnover via a Jake Gervase interception, and forced the Gophers into two turnovers on downs. LB Josey Jewell returned to the starting lineup after missing the previous game due to injury. Jewell led the team with 11 tackles. He has 18 career games with double‐digit tackles. Jewell has 382 career tackles, and tonight he passed Fred Bar for No. 7 all‐time in program history. Ohio State and Iowa are meeting for the 65th time with Ohio State officially holding a 46-14-3 lead in the series. It will be the Buckeyes’ first trip to Kinnick Stadium since 2010. The two teams also met in 2009, a 27-24 overtime victory that secured Ohio State’s trip to the Rose Bowl. Overall, Ohio State owns a 17-6-2 record in games at Iowa City.Clemson at NC State College Football Betting Odds & Game Info
