Tuesday night is a big one for fans of college football, as that is when the Playoff Committee will deliver their first National Rankings of the season. Given that we all the teams in the top 5 in the AP Poll are unbeaten, there is unlikely to be any real surprises from the committee, although you do have to wonder how they will arrange the top 4. Will it be the same as the AP Poll, or are they going to deliver something a little different? The committee has made some controversial decisions in the past, but I would be very surprised to see their first rankings look very different from what we are looking at today. There are some huge games coming in Week 10 that could change things in a big way in the next rankings. Let’s focus on the O/U picks for Week 10 of the college football season so you can bet against their NCAA Football Odds.
Week 10 O/U Betting Picks and Odds | 2022 NCAA Football Lines
Michigan Wolverines at Rutgers Scarlet Knights – UNDER 45 ½
As it stands now, the Michigan Wolverines are sitting in the top 4, but they have some games coming, most notably against Ohio State, that could have an impact on who goes to the playoffs and who misses out. This weekend, they hit the road for a very winnable game versus Rutgers, but it is important that they do not look ahead to the bigger challenges around the corner. While the Wolverines have a perfect record this season, they are not putting big offensive numbers on the board, with 4 of their last 5 games falling UNDER the point total. Rutgers has really been struggling to score of late, with 11 of their last 16 going UNDER, as have 7 of their last 10 versus teams in the Big Ten East Division.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Virginia Tech Hokies – UNDER 41 ½
As it stands now, both of these teams still have a shot at becoming bowl eligible, but you do have to say that it looks like a longshot given how both are playing this season. The Yellow Jackets come in with a 3-5 record and are averaging just over 16 PPG. It’s even worse, at least in terms of the win/loss record, for the Hokies, who are at 2-6 this season and scoring just 19 PPG. With both offenses struggling, it’s tough to imagine that we are going to see a shootout here, with this one likely to be of the low-scoring variety. Georgia Tech has seen the UNDER hit in 8 of their last 10 games, while 11 of the last 14 meetings between these two teams has gone the same route.
Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at Louisiana Tech Bulldogs – OVER 64
I’m not usually a fan of playing the OVER when the point total is set this high, but this is a game that I am fairly confident about in that regard. Middle Tennessee is averaging close to 27 PPG, while the Bulldogs are almost at 32 PPG. Neither defense inspires much in the way of confidence, which means that we are likely to see this one turn into a shootout right from the off. Things tend to go OVER when LA Tech plays at home, with each of their last 6 going that way. Overall, they have seem 11 of their last 12 games go OVER the point total, so let’s go with more of the same.
