A Closer Look At The Week 11 College Football Betting Lines: Tigers At Razorbacks

Arkansas Razorbacks

The unranked Razorbacks completely stunned Florida in its 31-10 smackdown last weekend but have been battling the growing pains associated with first-time starting quarterback Austin Allen. The Arkansas Razorbacks are putting up a solid 30.8 points per game offensively to rank 55th in scoring, but allow an overly generous 29.0 points per game defensively to rank 74th in points allowed.

LSU Tigers

LSU had their modest three-game winning streak snapped last weekend despite putting up a tremendous effort in their 10-0 loss against No. 1 Alabama. Running back Leonard Fournette was shut down – again – by the Tide defense in getting held to just 35 yards on 17 carries while quarterback Danny Etling was limited to 11 of 24 passing for just 92 yards and one interception. LSU had scored 38 points or more in each of their previous three games until getting shutout by Alabama. The Tigers average a modest 26.1 points per game to rank a modest 82nd in scoring, but have been one of the nation’s best defensive teams in limiting the opposition to just 14.3 points per game defensively (sixth).

Expert Prediction and Pick

For me, the LSU Tigers are the easy pick to win and cover the spread against a Razorbacks team that won’t be able to stop superstar running back Leonard Fournette and is just 1-5 ATS in their last six games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game. Still, for me, LSU’s heartbreaking loss last weekend makes them a virtual lock for me in this Week 11 SEC showdown. I expect LSU’s stout defense to harass Austin Allen into at least one costly turnover and possibly two while covering the college football betting line with room to spare.

Pick: LSU -6.5 Points
