No. 19 LSU Tigers at Arkansas Razorbacks

When: Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 7:00 PM ET Where: Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium TV: ESPN NCAAF Odds: Arkansas Razorbacks +6.5 Analysis: No. 19 Arkansas completely stunned Florida in its 31-10 smackdown this weekend while LSU had their modest three-game winning streak snapped despite putting up a tremendous effort in their 10-0 loss against No. 1 Alabama. Still, LSU’s heartbreaking loss makes them a virtual lock for me in this Week 11 SEC showdown. Arkansas is averaging 30.9 points per game but gives up an overly generous 29.0 points per game defensively. The Arkansas Razorbacks have been dealing with the growing pains associated with first-time starting quarterback Austin Allen while LSU had scored 38 points or more in each of their previous three games until getting shutout by Alabama. The LSU Tigers are the easy pick to win and cover the spread against a Razorbacks team that won’t be able to stop superstar running back Leonard Fournette and is just 1-5 ATS in their last six games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

Illinois Fighting Illini at No. 7 Wisconsin Badgers

When: Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 3:30 PM ET Where: Camp Randall Stadium TV: ESPN2 NCAAF Odds: Wisconsin Badgers -26.5 Analysis: I’m a big believer in the seventh-ranked Wisconsin Badgers (7-2 SU, 7-2 ATS), but the Big Ten title hopefuls are not….repeat…not, beating the Illinois Fighting Illini (3-6 SU, 5-4 ATS) by the 27 points it would take for them to cover the spread. The Fighting Illini, like just about everyone else this season, got past beleaguered Michigan State in its 31-27 win on Saturday and should be able to keep the score respectable against a Badgers team that is averaging just 23.8 points per game. I know young quarterback Jeff George, Jr. is completing an ugly 42.3 percent of his passes for 391 yards with four touchdowns and one interception, but Illinois has a solid rushing attack that averages 163.2 yards per game. While Wisconsin has won three straight – and will make it four in a row by beating Illinois in this matchup, I don’t see the Badgers blowing the Fighting Illini out by any means, especially with their own young quarterback in Alex Hornibrook still trying to find his own way. I’m a big Love Smith backer and I believe he’ll find a way to lead his team to the easy ATS cover. The Fighting Illini are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and they’re my pick to cover the spread even though Wisconsin is 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Pick: Illinois +26.5 Points

Texas Tech Red Raiders at No. 17 Oklahoma State Cowboys

When: Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 3:30 PM ET Where: Boone Pickens Stadium TV: FS1 NCAAF Odds: Oklahoma State Cowboys -1 Analysis: The Texas Tech Red Raiders (4-5 SU, 6-3 ATS) might have a losing record coming into their Week 11 matchup against the seventh-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-2 SU, 6-3 ATS), but they’re the pick to get the ATS win – by recording the outright upset. I know the Red Raiders have lost four of their last five games and were on the wrong end of a heartbreaking 45-37 loss to Texas on Saturday, but I love quarterback Pat Mahomes II and the Red Raiders’ high-scoring ways. Mahomes has thrown at least three touchdown passes in seven of his last 10 games and is completing a blistering 66.8 percent of his passes for 3,866 yards with 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions. I know Texas Tech is mediocre at best defensively, but I just haven’t been very impressed with Oklahoma State despite the fact that they’ve won five straight, seeing as how four of those wins came against either mediocre or poor competition. I do like Cowboys signal-caller Mason Rudolph a lot, but I’m banking on the Red Raiders turning this contest into shootout they win late in regulation. Texas Tech is 6-1 ATS in their last seven games in the month of November and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, but the road team in this Big 12 rivalry has gone 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. I smell a big-time upset brewing.
