NCAAF Week 9: Tuesday, October 24th – Saturday, October 28th, 2023

17 North Carolina Tar Heels at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

ATS Odds: North Carolina -11
Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at 8:00 pm | ACCN Network
Bobby Dodd Stadium, Atlanta, GA

The Tar Heels are coming off a loss. And despite how bad the loss was, this team can still do damage. They are still in the picture to get to the ACC title game. But this game in Atlanta is a must.

Georgia Tech has started to fade a little after hot play earlier in the season. Look for North Carolina to figure out some of their problems on the defensive side during their time off.

The Tar Heels have too good of an offense not to score a bunch in this game. Not scared of the road game, North Carolina wins big.

25 James Madison Dukes over Old Dominion Monarchs

ATS Odds: James Madison -18
Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at 8:00 pm | ESPNU
Bridgeforth Stadium/Zane Showker Field, Harrisonburg, VA

James Madison is one of the best teams no one is talking about in College Football. This team is looking for their 8th straight win. They are home against a 4-3 Old Dominion team.

This is a Monarchs team that got blown out by Virginia Tech in Week 1 and lost games to Wake Forest and Marshall. James Madison can play offense when they need to, but also get stops early and often. The Dukes win this game by three touchdowns.

24 USC Trojans at California Golden Bears

ATS Odds: USC -11
Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at 4:00 pm | PAC12
California Memorial Stadium, Berkeley, CA

Caleb Williams and his Trojans have dropped two games in a row. The Trojans are dead when it comes to the College Football playoff. But they have just one Pac-12 loss, so the title game is still in the picture, and a trip to the Rose Bowl.

The top pick likely in the draft may not care too much about all of that, but he does care how his numbers look. The Trojans and Williams are going to get back on track and in a big way in this game.

Look for USC to potentially get to 45 points in this game and win big.

14 Notre Dame Fighting Irish over Pittsburgh Panthers

ATS Odds: Notre Dame -20
Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at 3:30 pm | NBC
Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame, IN

The Irish finally got some rest. Now, one of the more talented teams in the country will use Sam Hartman’s arm, their really talented running attack, and the swarming defense to look to get hot to finish the season. Notre Dame gets a chance to start with the Panthers of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh has struggled this season, at 2-5. They are coming off a loss to Wake Forest. The Panthers can’t score enough to hang with the Irish. Look for a 34-10 type win for the Irish on Saturday.

7 Texas Longhorns over Brigham Young Cougars

ATS Odds: Texas Longhorns -17.5
Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at 3:30 pm | ABC
DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin, TX

The Texas Longhorns were challenged a bit last week by Houston. Look for them to use that as motivation for this game.

BYU is another team that is getting their first and final crack at the Longhorns in the Big 12. Texas is still sitting pretty for a chance at a rematch against Oklahoma in the Big 12 title, but this game comes first.

The Longhorns are looking to get the run game going early, as Jonathan Brooks is just 175 yards away from 1,000 on the season. Do not be surprised if he reaches that here. The Cougars can be run on. Despite their 5-2 record, they do not play great defense.

Texas takes advantage of it and wins by three touchdowns on Saturday.

College Football Week 9 ATS Pick: Texas Longhorns -17.5 | Bet Texas over BYU Today
