Less than ten days after T20 cricket fever swept the world in the form of the T20 World Cup 2022, there’s plenty of cricket still playing out this week.
Over in the Southern Hemisphere, two hotly contested series are continuing this week, with another due to begin on the weekend.

Australia vs England (Tuesday, 22 November)
The third of three ODIs between Australia and England will play out on Tuesday, 22 November, with the series having already been won comprehensively by Australia.
As suspected, England entered this series drained out after a big effort winning the T20 World Cup 2022, and they have struggled to play their best cricket over the last one week in Australia. The first ODI saw England bat well and post a competitive 287/9 courtesy of a stunning Dawid Malan century before failing to defend it and losing by six wickets.
The second ODI, however, was a far less competitive effort, with the English losing by 72 runs. After Australia posted a healthy 280/8, England folded for 208 all out. Outside of half centuries by Vince and Billings, there was little to write home about from the English batting lineup.
With the final ODI around the corner, can the English batter summon some energy to post a 300+ score, or will this whole series be chalked up as a post-World Cup hangover?
Bookies have the Australians as -163 favorites here, with England at +130.
New Zealand vs India (22, 25, 27 November)
This week also sees New Zealand and India wrap up a T20 series on Tuesday before playing out the first of two ODIs in a three-game series.
With the first T20 washed out last week and India winning the second, it will be all on at McLean Park in Napier as New Zealand look to level the series, and India chase a white wash.
In the second T20, India put on an impressive 191/6, carried almost entirely by the sublime Suryakumar Yadav. The Indian No.3 reached astronomical levels in the match, proving why he is the No.1 T20 batsman in the world by crushing 111 off just 51 balls to carry his side through to 191. The centurion carried his bat in what has to be one of the most impressive T20 performances of the year.
In reply, New Zealand fumbled their way to 126 all out off 18.5 overs. The best was Black Caps’ captain Kane Williamson, who put on a healthy 61 off 52 carrying on his good World Cup form, but found little support, eventually getting bowled by Mohammad Siraj when attempting to up the pace.
In the final game of the series, bookies have New Zealand as a slight favorite to edge India, putting the home side on odds of -125 against India’s +100.
