League of Legends – LCK 2019 Summer

Thursday, June 6

  • Sandbox vs Hanwha Life

In Sandbox’s last match, Damwon beat them 2:1. The Champions Korea Summer League starts this week, which means Sandbox has a shot to get off to a great start. Outside of the loss to Damwon, Sandbox had gone 6-3 in their previous 9 matches.

The last time they faced Hanwha Life, they beat Hanwha 2:0. Hanwha must turn their form around if they expect to challenge for the 2019 Summer League trophy. They went 1-4 in their last 5. It could be tough for Hanwha to beat Sandbox on Thursday. Backing Sandbox in their first LCK 2019 Summer match makes sense.

eSports Betting Pick: Sandbox

  • Griffin vs Afreeca Freecs

During the spring league, Griffin looked unstoppable. They won their first 12 matches. They won 6-of-9 in their final 10. But, the last match they played, they didn’t step it up at all. SK Telecom 1 beat Griffin 3:0 on April 13.

Like Sandbox, Griffin believes they’re one of the top squads in the League of Legends South Korean League. Afreeca Freecs went 2-7 in their last 9 matches. Griffin should start the summer league off with a win.

eSports Betting Pick: Griffin

Friday, June 7

  • Kingzone Dragon X vs Gen.G

Kingzone Dragon X, KDX for short, beat Damwon and then lost to SK Telecom 1 in their last couple of League of Legend matches. KDX dominated Gen.G 2:0 the last time they faced them.

Can Gen.G. exact revenge on Friday? Gen.G. was in horrible form throughout the spring meet. They only won 3 of their last 10. However, if Gen.G. returns to the form they displayed at the 2018 summer meet, they could pull off the win on Friday. It’s best if Gen.G proves to us that they have returned to last year’s excellent summer league form before backing them in matches, though.

eSports Betting Pick: Kingzone Dragon X

Saturday, June 8

  • Hanwha Life vs KT Rolster

Hanwhat Life ended the spring league in terrible form. They did, however, end it with a win over KT Rolster. Surprisingly, KT Rolster has been horrendous since the year started.

The reason it’s surprising is because the Rolsters lost 2:3 to Invictus in the League of Legends World Championships Playoff last October. For almost all of 2018 KT Rolster had played great. KT Rolster is the type of organization that doesn’t stay bad for long. They’ll beat Hanwha Life on Saturday.

eSports Betting Pick: KT Rolster
