Guangzhou Charge vs Chengdu Hunters

The Overwatch League is so competitive that a team like Guangzhou Charge struggled to make it to the postseason. Charge can most definitely win the play-ins tournament this weekend. The quest for the victory, and the chance to move on in the 2019 Overwatch League Playoffs, starts on Friday versus Chengdu Hunters.

Charge has won 8-of-10 and 4 in a row. Chengdu made it to the postseason after beating Houston Outlaws 3-2. Overall, Chengdu isn’t nearly close to Charge’s form. The Hunters are 2-3 straight up in their last 5. Guangzhou should win and move on to Saturday’s match versus Spitfire.

eSports Betting Pick: Guangzhou Charge

Philadelphia Fusion vs Shanghai Dragons

In the second match on Friday, Philadelphia Fusion battles Shanghai Dragons. Fusion heads into this match off a 3-1 victory against Seoul Dynasty. Philadelphia preceded the win over Dynasty with back-to-back losses versus Paris Eternal and Vancouver Titans.

Shanghai Dragons has had a tough go of it recently in the Overwatch League. The Dragons are 1-6 straight up in their last 7. They’ve lost to Defiant, Shock, Dynasty, Eternal, and Spark in their last 4. Fusion should add to Shanghai’s woes.

eSports Betting Pick: Philadelphia Fusion

Charge – Hunters vs London Spitfire

If Chengdu manages to upset the Charge, they shouldn’t make it two in a row. If Saturday’s match ends up Chengdu vs. London, go with London.

The same won’t be true if Guangzhou, which they should, beats Chengdu Hunters. If the Charge make it to Saturday’s match, they can take down Spitfire. London is 1-3 SU in their last 4. They’ve lost to Mayhem, the Titans, and the Reign. Peg Guangzhou as the winners if they face London Spitfire on Saturday.

eSports Betting Pick: Guangzhou Charge

Fusion – Dragons vs Seoul Dynasty

If Shanghai beats Fusion on Friday, they shouldn’t stand much chance of getting by Seoul Dynasty. The Dynasty beat the Dragons 3-1 on August 15. They can beat the Dragons again by roughly the same score.

If it makes Shanghai fans feel any better, the Fusion won’t get by Seoul, either. Philadelphia should beat the Dragons on August 30, but after that, they’ll exit the Overwatch Playoffs. Seoul is only 3-2 SU in their last 5 and they did lose 1-3 to Philly the last time they faced them. But, the Dynasty should come up big in the playoffs. They’ll beat Fusion if the two battle.

eSports Betting Pick: Seoul Dynasty

League of Legends Champions Korea – Final

Griffin vs SK Telecom T1 – Best of 5 Series

  • When: Saturday, Aug. 31 at 4:00am ET

It would be wrong not to provide a free pick for Griffin and SK Telecom’s huge matchup at the League of Legends Champions Korea on Saturday. Griffin really picked it up later on in the Summer League.

They started off poorly, losing their first 3 matches. Since the losing streak, they’ve won 6-of-7 and 5 in a row. SK Telecom has won 4 in a row. This should be a great finals because in the head-to-head, these two have gone back and forth in the last 4 matches. Who comes out in this best of 5 series? Let’s peg SK Telecom the winner. Griffin has been hot, but Telecom’s overall form during the Summer League was exceptional.

eSports Betting Pick: SK Telecom T1
