StarCraft 2 WCS Global Finals (Friday, Oct. 26 – Saturday, Oct. 27)
- Maru -1667 vs. Lambo +678
- Ty -333 vs Neeb +236
- Zest -385 vs HeRoMaRine +272
- sOs +181 vs Serral -250
- Stats -588 vs Has +359
- Dark -370 vs ShoWTimE +256
- Classic -370 vs Nerchio +267
- Rogue -333 vs SpeCial +242
Ty -333 vs Neeb +236
Ty was en fuego until he ran into Maru in his last. Maru’s a -1667 chalk over Lambo, which means there’s no shame in losing to Maru.
Before the loss, which wasn’t even that terrible at 3:4, Ty had won 4 straight. One of his victories was 4:2 over Neeb. The underdog’s gone 3-2 in his last 5 matches. Hard to back Neeb even at the generous odds when Ty played so well in August and September.
Backing Ty at the low odds. eSports Betting Pick: Ty -333Rogue -333 vs SpeCial +242
Rogue’s a big chalk on Friday to take down SpeCial. Makes sense because he’s the 2nd seed in Group D while SpeCial’s the 4th seed in the group. Neeb dominated Rogue in late August, though. Does that mean Rogue should have trouble versus SpeCial, a player he beat 2:0 on July 21?
Probably not. SpeCial’s been on the bench since the South Korean StarCraft Global II League in July. SpeCial went 1-4 in that tournament. Looks like Rogue should win rather easily on Saturday.
eSports Betting Pick: Rogue -333League of Legends World Championship Semifinals
Saturday, Oct. 27
- G2 Esports +204 vs Invictus Gaming -286
After a couple of losses to Flash Wolves and Afreeca Freecs, G2 Esports turned it around by beating Flash Wolves and making it to the League of Legends World Championship Playoffs. They took down Royal Never Give Up 3:2.
G2 Esports faces a tough climb to beat Invictus Gaming on Saturday, though. Invictus lost their last couple of matches before the playoffs, but both losses were to hot FNatic. Before that they had beaten G-Rex twice, 100 Thieves twice, and FNatic once.
They took down KT Rolster 3:2 in the quarterfinals. Invictus Gaming should beat G2 Esports on Oct. 27.
eSports Betting Pick: Invictus Gaming -286Sunday, Oct. 28
- Cloud9 +195 vs FNatic -286
FNatic’s been as hot as any eSports squad on the planet. They’ve won a fantastic 6 in a row. They’ve taken 7 of their last 8. The only loss was to Invictus Gaming on Oct. 12.
Cloud9 must play perfect to beat FNatic on Sunday. It’s hard to see that happening because save for beating Afreeca Freecs in the playoffs, Cloud9 lost to Royal Never Give Up twice and Gen.G.
The chalk takes it.
eSports Betting Pick: FNatic -286
