Elisa Invitational Summer 2021 Betting Preview for Saturday, May 22 Match

Copenhagen Flames Vs gorillazzz

  • When: Saturday, May 22 – TBD

Gorillazzz will clash with Copenhagen Flames in the third round of High Matches at Elisa Invitational Summer 2021. It will mark their second meeting in history and gorillazzz’s only 13th fixture since the team came together.

These two sides last met during the Flashpoint Season 3 open qualifiers, when Robin “flusha” Rönnquist and co. lost 0-2 with 11-16 on Mirage and 8-16 on Overpass. Considering it was gorillazzz’s only second fixture together, I wouldn’t overreact to that result.

Gorillazzz have since produced mixed results, dropping games against Galaxy Racer (0-2) and Izako Boars (0-2) and winning against Lilmix (2-0) and SJ (2-0). The Danes were hardly any more successful with their showings, as they have also dropped games they shouldn’t have (against 777 Esports).

This is a match that can go both ways since you can’t set these two sides apart. Gorillazzz field a far more experienced roster but are still learning how to play together, whereas Copenhagen Flames might be more consistent, but they aren’t very good. Over 2.5 maps is the way to go.

Prediction: Over 2.5 maps

Dota 2 Pinnacle Cup Betting Previews for Saturday, May 22 Matches

PuckChamp Vs Brame

  • When: Saturday, May 22 – 13:00 CEST

PuckChamp and Brame will flex their muscles on Saturday, May 22, in the penultimate week of Pinnacle Cup group play. These sides have never met before; however, it’s easy to understand why Brame are the favorites to walk away with a W.

The European side have been playing exceptionally well of late, picking up a couple of big wins against the likes of Alliance (2-1), Hellbear Smashers (2-1), and even looked good against Team Nigma (1-2) at the start of the month.

However, one thing that could concern you is Brame’s losses against Vikin.gg (0-2) and Team Unique (0-2). Results like that could suggest that Brame don’t care too much about the Pinnacle Cup and instead put most of their effort in DreamLeague Season 15 DPC. That shouldn’t be an issue for this match, given that their DreamLeague journey ends on Tuesday, May 18.

Brame have played at a much higher level than PuckChamp of late, which alone should give them an edge over the Russian outfit. Although expecting a 2-0 sweep might sound a bit optimistic, Brame can be solid when they put in the effort – and many top-tier European Dota 2 squads can attest to that.

Prediction: Brame -1.5 maps

Hellbear Smashers Vs Team Unique

  • When: Saturday, May 22 – 16:00 CEST

Hellbear Smashers will clash with Team Unique in the final match of the day. It will mark their first meeting in history and a fixture no team can afford to lose. Hellbear Smashers currently hold a 3-2 record, which puts them in a relatively safe position not to get relegated and in an excellent spot to compete for a top-two.

Team Unique, on the other side, are 1-5 on the tournament. This means that they still need at least two wins only to have a chance to finish inside the top-six and secure a spot in the playoffs.

If things don’t play out as expected, Team Unique might already get eliminated before this game kicks off, so they likely won’t be too motivated to push Hellbear Smashers to their limits.

Outside of their occasional flashes of greatness, Team Unique have yet to show anything that would convince me they’re the better team. That said, Hellbear Smashers aren’t exactly a top-tier team either, so I don’t feel too comfortable betting on the to sweep Unique.

There is a slim chance Unique could win – if they show the same fire they have against Brame last week – but regardless of how good they’ll look heading into this match, winning at least one map shouldn’t be impossible.

Prediction: Over 2.5 maps
