Counter Strike ESL One Road to Rio May 9 Matches

Format

All participating teams get the chance to reach the CS:GO Major at Rio de Janeiro in November. All matches are best of three.

Winstrike (2.56) vs. Team Spirit (1.47)

Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 PM

Winstrike has gone 3-1 in the Group A CIS standings. Winstrike has won a stupendous nine of their last 10 matches while winning 50 percent of their matches over the course of the last year. Team Spirit has gone a perfect 4-0 in the CIS Group A standings while winning eight of their last 10 overall. Team Spirit has also won a stellar 65 percent of their matches over the course of the last year.

Team Spirit has won four straight in this series including a 2:0 win in August of 2019 the last time they met. With both of these teams playing some fantastic CS:GO coming into this affair, I like Team Spirit to get it done simply because they seemingly own their Winstrike rivals. Still, this one should be a knock-down, drag-out fight to the finish!

CS:GO Odds & Pick: Team Spirit 2:1

forZe (1.55) vs. Gambit Youngsters (2.36)

Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 PM

forZe (1.65) has gone 2-2 in the CIS Group A standings. They’ve won three of their last five matches while alternating wins and losses along the way. ForZe has won a modest four of their last 10 matches, but they’ve also won 55 percent of their matches over the last 30 days and a stellar 64 percent of their matches over the course of the last year.

Gambit Youngsters (2.15) have gone 1-3 in the CIS Group A standings. They’ve dropped two straight while going 5-5 over their last 10 matches. Gambit has won 43 percent of their matches over the last month, but an impressive 64 percent of their matches over the course of the last year.

ForZe has won three of four in this rivalry, but they had their three-match winning streak snapped the last time they met, suffering a humbling 2:0 loss on May 4. Keep it simple here eSports betting buffs and back forZe to get it done again as Gambit continues their lackluster play before making what I expect to be a swift exit out of the ESL Road to Rio.

CS:GO Odds & Pick: forZe 2:1
