Movistar Raiders vs. Syman
Movistar has won two of their last five but fell to Heretics 2-0 the last time out. Syman has also won two of their last five, but they were on the wrong end of a2-0 shutout loss against…you guessed it – Movistar the last time out. The Riders have won four of seven meetings against Syman including three straight, although two of those affairs went to the wire.
Prediction
Movistar is playing solid CS: GO right now while Syman is struggling mightily. More importantly, Movistar seems to pretty much own Syman. Keep it simple and back the favorite to get it done.
Pick: Movistar 2-1
Virtus Pro vs. Team Spirit
Virtus Pro has won three of their last five, but they had their two-match winning streak snapped in their 2-0 shutout loss against BIG the last time out. Team Spirit had won four straight to reach the finals in Week 1, but they fell to BIG 2-1 in a thriller in the finals.
Prediction
I’m expecting Team Spirit to jump all over Virtus Pro in their first matchup on the Week 2 docket simply because they cam up just short of winning the Week 1 title and the $30,000 that went with it. Prior to their loss in the finals, Team Spirit was playing absolutely lights out. More importantly, they are the better and more cohesive team in this pairing and that’s why team Spirit is the pick in this one!
Pick: Team Spirit 2-0
