eSports Betting: League of Legends LPL June 10th Matches

Written by on June 9, 2020

In the League of Legends (LOL) LPL, which is based in China, the Summer season has just started, so there is going to be a lot of action coming your way in the next few weeks. We still have a few teams that have yet to play a game this season, while some already have a couple in the books. We are going to look ahead to Wednesday, June 10 and the two games that we have on the schedule, so let’s get right to it so you can make your bets against their League of Legends odds.

It is always tough to try and make picks at the start of any season, usually because teams can change their personnel in the weeks and months that have passed since the end of the previous season. When it comes to eSports, though, the turnaround time between the Spring and Summer seasons is not that long, which means we can look back and get a decent idea of what to expect from each teams based on what they did in the Spring tournament.

Vici Gaming (+108) Vs Royal Never Give Up (-158)

Both of these teams have seen their season get off to a winning start, with both coming into this one with a 1-0 record. Both teams also won their opening games in rather convincing style, as they both won 2-0 in the best of 3 matches. This is a good start to the season for Vici Gaming, as they are coming off a disappointing Spring season, where they finished 7-9 and missed out on the playoffs. You never want to have back to back losing seasons, so getting that win right at the start is going to be a good confidence booster for Vici.

Royal Never Give Up ended the regular season in the Spring tournament with back to back losses, falling to 8-8 in the process. That was not a great record, but it was good enough to get them into the playoffs as the #7 seed. The losing continued there, though, and they made an early first round exit.

This could end up needing all 3 games to decide the outcome, but I am leaning towards Royal Never Give Up.

Suning (+332) Vs JD Gaming (-625)

We mentioned at the top of this piece that the performance in the Spring season might give us some indication of how the Summer season might play out. There are, though, teams that will improve, while others will lose a little ground. It is too early to be getting carried away, but Suning are off to a perfect 2-0 start, winning their games by a combined score of 4-1. This is a little surprising that they finished the Spring season at 7-9 and out of the playoffs.

This is the first game of the Summer season for JD Gaming, but they come into this tournament with a lot to live up to after winning the Spring season. The closed out last season with a 12-4 record and a 26-10 record in games played. That left then as the #2 seed heading into the playoffs, which they ended up winning, taking out Top Esports 3-2 in the final.

I think that JD Gaming will pick up right where they left off and come away with the win.
